Thoughts on baby girl name Rosie Amelia?

Surname would be Russell... is Rosie Russell a bit too tongue twistery with all the R's and S's?

I think Rosie Russell sounds great!

Shadow1234 · 25/09/2018 22:47

For me personally, it would be too much of the 'r' sound, but others
may say different.

Would you consider having Amelia Rose ? (although I do think
this might be quite a popular name).

Or Amelie Rose?

Having said that, if you are comfortable with it, and like the
name, then I would say do what you feel is best.

Good luck!

Shadow1234 · 25/09/2018 22:48

meant to put Rosie not Rose!

Lauren0rder · 25/09/2018 22:50

I’m not keen on alliteration for names and I think it’s too many Rrrrrrrs

Let’s hope she can say rrrrrr or she will be Wosie Wussell.....🤣

bridgetreilly · 25/09/2018 23:03

I don't think it's a great combination, tbh. She could end up a Roshie Rushell or a Wosie Wussell.

Amelia Russell works well, if you like that.

SerenDippyEggs · 25/09/2018 23:04

I love it!

DramaAlpaca · 25/09/2018 23:06

Very nice name.

SPR1107 · 25/09/2018 23:12

Such mixed reviews! What everyone is saying, sounds pretty similar to the conversations me and my husband are having about it. I worry about any speech impediments and he just loves it and that's that!
Our little boys name was soooo easy to pick, and if baby is a boy, we wouldn't find it too difficult to pick another. We just seem to draw a blank with girls names.
I do like the name Amelia, but I don't know if I like it enough to give it as a first name

I prefer Rose Amelia nn Rosie

Thighofrelief · 26/09/2018 00:36

I don't like pre-shortened names but Rosemary or Rosemarie Russell is great. Sounds professional.

AnyaMoondial · 26/09/2018 05:45

I think it sounds fine tbh. But how about Daisy? It would avoid the alliteration if that’s the issue. Still a beautiful flower name and has the same rhythm.

flumpybear · 26/09/2018 05:52

I think it works - it's not awkward to say. I'd use Rosie more as a nick name personally as I
Prefer longer type names but that's just me

recklessgran · 26/09/2018 06:23

Rosanna - nickname Rosie?
