I don't dislike any of the above names, quite like Henry & Toby , I like them both a lot.

I'm not sure I make assumptions about kids based on their names, maybe their parents a little! On rereading not sure my associations are what you were looking for :D

NothingOnTellyAgain · 24/09/2018 13:52

Oh for fuck's sake now I'm reading brian harvey's twitter for no reason apart from procrastinating about work and OP's inclusion of both Brian and Harvey has set me on a random google journey :/

NothingOnTellyAgain · 24/09/2018 13:54

In fact it might be a fake brian harvey that I am reading

I have sunk so low

This is your fault op

DreamsofSummer · 24/09/2018 13:56

Charlie - Weasley, the dragon keeper

Brian - Life of Brian, Monty Python
Calvin- Calvin & Hobbes, adorable troublemaker boy

Henry - prince harry
Brian - cartoon dog
Calvin - common
Harvey - my dogs name or Katie prices son
Dylan - common

But it really doesn't matter what we all think.... you might hate my top three names! This is your choice x

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/09/2018 14:09

Charlie. FFS not another one.
Toby. Sweet polite and well behaved ltitle boy.
Henry. Private school
Dylan. Chavvy.
Harvey Chavvy
Brian. Down to earth
Calvin. For some reason this doesn't even seem like a real name to me.

Rebecca36 · 24/09/2018 14:11

Calvin sounds religious.
Dylan poetic (nice).
The others are all just friendly.

I like all except Calvin. Chances are a child called Calvin will be called 'Klein' or 'boxers' at school.

Itchytights · 24/09/2018 14:13

Calvin- Harris
Toby- A twat. Also the carvery
Henry- A lovely name 👍
Dylan- Bob Dylan
Harvey- A troublemaker
Brian- blessed. The snail. No no and no again.

Itchytights · 24/09/2018 14:14

Calvin does sound made up.
Like Kelvin Melvin Kyle Wyle etc

It’s alike to those kind of names..

Hideous

Nellyelora · 24/09/2018 14:58

Charlie - mum wears Boden
Toby - mum wears Boden
Henry - mum wears Boden
Brian - named after grandad
Calvin - klein or hollyoaks.
Harvey - Jordan
Dylan - someone that thinks they're a bit hippy/cool or they're Welsh (perhaps also cool/hippy)

Enko · 24/09/2018 16:04

Charlie lazy git (may be projecting towards someone at workGrin)
Toby Nice enough doesnt say much
Henry Hoovers
Brian Lovely lovely guy
Calvin HOBBES Fab name btw
Harvey cheeky and likes to get others to do his work
Dylan wet blanket

PetraRabbit · 24/09/2018 16:25

Charlie- either very posh or very working class, probably the latter; Toby- ruddy cheeked, wears wellies, maybe a bit geeky; Henry- middle class; Brian- Irish or named after a recently deceased much loved grandad; Calvin- DJ; Harvey- naughty; Dylan- middle of the road parents in their 40s

Whiskeyjar · 24/09/2018 16:53

Charlie - cheeky chappy
Toby - dogs name
Henry - posh

Brian - 50 year old taxi driver
Calvin - has a chav mum
Harvey - Katie price's son
Dylan - another dogs name

(Sorry these are my associations!)

LittleKitty1985 · 24/09/2018 20:22

Thanks for your input everyone!

I think we're going to remove Charlie from the list, it's too popular right now, & we're not sure we like the "cheeky" connotations. Not sure why Harvey is also seen as cheeky to so many people
too though...?
