Mickey as a nickname for a girl

Is it cute? Or a bit daft?

Any other ideas for a short name beginning with M? We’ve chosen Morvern which doesn’t lend itself to shortenings. It would be nice to have a cute name that we could call her by as well as her full name.

The only Mickey I have known was a girl. A very nice girl.

I've heard of Mickey/Mickie/Mikki(!) short for Michaela, but it's a bit dated now.

Is it Morven or Morvern ...? Morven is much nicer imo

Mickey is not nice for a girl. I wouldn't try to come up with a nn to be fair , surely it should develop on its own

I don’t like it much and the spelling is clunky. That said, my opinion means nothing if you like the name.

Mo, Morve, Morvie, Minnie, Vivi, Vernie, are all nicer and make more sense as nicknames for Morvern than Mickey, in my opinon.

Morvern - the shortening I've heard is Verne.

Nicknames usually come randomly and don’t need to be predetermined. Choose a name you actually like instead of searching for a variation to use instead

I like Mickey. I don't think a nn has to sound like the given name.

Mory is what I'd end up calling her.
