Olivia Francis
Olivia Grace
Olivia-Grace
Olivia Kaida (Japanese)
Olivia Draig (Welsh)

I'm not Japanese but I like the look and sound of Kaida. I'm also not welsh but the father is and I like the idea of a name meaning dragon.

Olivia Frances

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/08/2018 22:23

Or better still Francesca

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 22/08/2018 22:58

Frances is lovely.

Sophronia · 23/08/2018 03:38

Olivia Frances

NorthernLassie21 · 23/08/2018 06:48

Hey Pompom, do you have lots of Alices and Phoebes too? Thanks

FreshHorizons · 23/08/2018 06:57

Olivia Grace or Olivia Frances (the female spelling)
Don't hyphenate.
I dislike the other two.

2gorgeousboys · 23/08/2018 07:02

Olivia Grace was our girl choice for DS 16 years ago before it became super popular.

I prefer Olivia Frances from your list but due to the popularity of Olivia I would flip it and have Frances Olivia.

Have you considered Olive? Just different enough from Olivia and the 20 others in the class.

Cheeseplantandpickle · 23/08/2018 07:05

Just to say, I have never met a child called Olivia. Where are they all?!

Olivia Grace sounds best I think.

mathanxiety · 23/08/2018 07:22

Olivia Frances is the nicest imo.

Maybe I am just unfamiliar with Ddraig as a name but I find the sound harsh and clunky.

booniloo · 23/08/2018 07:25

I think it depends on where you are for how popular Olivia is. I work in a school and we only have one in the whole school.

BikeRunSki · 23/08/2018 08:00

Olivia Grace must be one of the most popular name combos in the last 10 years or so. It’s popular for a reason though... depends on how you feel about that.

MrsRubyMonday · 23/08/2018 10:34

The correct spelling is Draig, you can't just add an extra D, this only happens in Welsh as a mutation when the word comes after certain other words (for example, the dragon would be Y Ddraig, but Draig for dragon on its own).

It's pronounced dr-eye-g.

llangennith · 23/08/2018 10:41

Olivia is pretty but too popular. Draig is awful! You wouldn't call her Olivia Dragon would you? So why lumber her with a middle name like Draig? I'm Welsh btw.

Maybethistime8 · 23/08/2018 10:48

Draig isn't recognised as a name in Wales. And while I know it shouldn't matter what a child's name is, children can be really mean and she'd probably get some stick when other children realise she has dragon in her name

mejon · 23/08/2018 10:55

Draig isn't a recognised name - as it isn't one. It's like naming your child Teacup or Crocodile. If you want to use a Welsh name there are hundreds of real ones to choose from.

From your list Olivia Frances is nicest.

Laconia234 · 23/08/2018 11:22

I know Olivia is very popular, but I've only ever met one! She's 17 now and has never had another Olivia in her class.

MeyMary · 23/08/2018 12:07

I've never heard of the name Kaida. Is it related to Kaede/a different phonetic spelling?

I like Olivia Francis. But Olivia is incredibly popular. How about Lydia Francis?

TheDowagerCuntess · 23/08/2018 13:53

You can do better than Olivia Grace - Olivia tops the list of most popular girls' names - and Grace is one of three default, filler middle names. No originality at all.

So any of the others for me (assuming it's Frances, not Francis).

starkid · 23/08/2018 13:58

Olivia Frances sounds good.

I like the name Kaida! Would you consider it for a first name?

theunsure · 23/08/2018 14:08

Olivia Frances

Or for a Welsh element I like Olivia Seren

Pompom42 · 23/08/2018 22:16

NorthernLassie21 only 1 Alice and 1 Phoebe so not common. I'm in the South though. Most common is Olivia, Grace, Evie, Ava and Amelia

AlliKaneErikson · 23/08/2018 22:35

As pp have mentioned draig is a word, not a name and I don’t think it really works as a name.
