Our girl's list

We have boy names pretty much sorted (our top four are Elias Rafferty, Elias Rowan, Elijah Rowan & Zachary Tadhg) but we're struggling with girl's names. Here's our list...

First names: Beatrix, Cecily, Felicity, Florence, Imogen, Margot, Penelope & Phoebe.

Middles: Aine, Aisling, Brigid, Caoimhe, Cara, Cliona, Eilis, Eimear, Erin, Oona/Una, Orla(ith), Roisin, Saoirse & Sorcha

We have a few combos in mind but are starting to draw blanks now. We'd love an outsider's perspective or suggestions. All our LO's have Irish middle names - Caitlin, Fionn & Niamh (DH is Irish) so we want to keep in with the 'theme'.

*These two are still maybes on our list but best to brainstorm. TIA!

Good point @junebirthdaygirl! DH is the one who is insisting of -trix instead of -trice and he's the Irish speaker 😂 I guess it doesn't bother him... He's currently sleeping beside me so I couldn't ask right now lol. Beatrix is still a maybe on the list anyway.

Mind you, DD2's name begins with V lol.

Phoebe is going to be our (to be born) girl twin's name! Love it. Also love Felicity and Florence but Phoebe is DH's choice.

@muddiecuddles Ahh congratulations! We're having twins too... In absolute shock with a bit of anxiety especially as they're babies 4 and 5 but just glad everything's okay after a bit of a scare at our last scan only finding one heartbeat... It was just too early to hear it.

Thanks everyone... We're going to try and create some combos tonight as we're really struggling lol... Hopefully that will help reduce the first name list too as we're struggling with that as well lol. I think I'm going to have to get really nit picky lol.

Beatrix is a maybe because of the potential NN Trixie which we're not a fan of. Florence is still a maybe because we're not sure on using a word/ nature name as both DDs have one of each.

I'm slightly overwhelmed by the range of choices so can only imagine how you feel! My favourite of your possible first names is Florence. My favourite of the middle names is Saoirse.

FWIW, Brigid is IME pronounced Bridge-id, but occasionally (accent dependent I think) it'll be pronounced like there's a t at the end though there is also a variation spelt with a t.
Brid (with an accent on the i) is pronounced Breedj

At least that's the case where I am (in Ireland).

@3timeslucky I know - I'm finding it very difficult to let go of names knowing this is the last time I'll be naming children lol. Yeah, I agree about Brigid - I've just been lazy and not included the fadas lol. It really would've been better if DH wrote it out lol. I like both pronounications though

@ReginaPhalange89 - We dont know yet - It's too early too tell but we will be finding out. I could name 1,000 girls so we wouldn't have an issue if they are though lol. As much as DS loves his sisters (he and DD2 are joined at the hip), it would be nice for him to have a brother... I think we'd go for Zachary if it's one of each (which is what all the twins in my family have been... Don't know if that makes any difference at all - I feel like I'm doing this all over again this time around lol)

Ah ok ! Probably a boy/girl then. Zachary is lovely too. How long til you find out the sex?
I'd love twins. well, I've always said I'd love twins , but I think I'd die if it happened now and we went from 2 to 4! Haha.

@ReginaPhalange89 - My body seems to like being different so you never know lol. I'm only 9 weeks despite feeling about 20... I thought I was almost over a week ahead of what I was at first and already having 2 scans has thrown me. I feel so unprepared but in reality we still have ages to go lol. We're going from 3 to 5! Pray for us 😂 I remember when I was 'done' at 2 then surprise number 3 came along and made me broodu again... This was supposed to be our fourth and final lol
