Hi all. Pretty girl names starting with an I? I don’t mind if you abbreviate it either like I... Rose or I....Mae Flowers

Lurked then came back specifically to suggest: Inessa

Gorgeous name IMO, softer than Ines/Inez, faintly exotic but not unpronounceable... LOVE it, will be insisting it’s at least on shortlist for DD if and when she materialises!

Since a little girl I always wanted to call a daughter Isobel after my grandma, it was such a lovely rarely heard name I thought it'd be lovely. Now however my DSD has 3 Isabelle/Isabella/Isabels just in her class, and another in her dance group, so I'm going to find another name for when my time comes

I love Imelda

I know an Iren. It's pronounced i-REN, not eye-ren or irren and really suits the girl too. It's a name I wouldn't have looked twice at before.

amilosingitor · 13/08/2018 10:35

I have an ivy. She's nearly 8 and I love her name, she always gets compliments on it, albeit it's become more popular since Beyoncé!! I think ivy-rae is a great name. My second choice would be iris.

I like Iolanthe, Ione, Isla, Iona, Ianthe.

Apparently the original Imogen was Innogen in Shakespeare

I knew a girl called Italia growing up but I don't know if there was a back story to it.

There's Irene (not to my taste!), Ida, Iris, Ira..
