I did one a while back with Lucy and Isobel & Lucy won by a mile! (Which surprised me)

So now trying it against a similar sounding name 🙂

DD is Erin... Not yet pregnant but TTC x

Lucy

Ha Grin I'm one of those names and my sister is the other. Lucy is a blue-eyed blonde and Sophie is a brown-eyed brunette. Love both names but Sophie is very popular now - I never met another Sophie until I was in my late teens but now they're everywhere.

Ohyesiam · 01/08/2018 23:21

I’m afraid they both sound a bit drippy to me.
Love Isobel though.

kenandbarbie · 02/08/2018 08:31

I like Isobel the best, it's on my shortlist for current pregnancy. Even though my middle name is Lucy, I just find it a bit blah.

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 02/08/2018 11:01

Lucy is one of my favourite names! There are never very many of them - only a couple in my year of 300+ at school - but it's never considered super-unusual. Such a lovely, classic name.

KiplingAngelCake · 02/08/2018 11:08

Lucy!

Trampire · 02/08/2018 11:11

I'm biased as I have a Lucy. She's a teen though, there's only 3 in her whole Secondary though (including her) which surprises me.

She's anything but dull.

She responds to Luce, Looby Lou (when little), Loobster but Luce is the most used amoungst us and her friends.
We never set out for a nn but they just happen.

bakerandcook · 02/08/2018 11:29

I have a very blond Lucy Grin lovely classic name

Celestie · 02/08/2018 12:07

I find them both a bit dull too, sorry.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 02/08/2018 12:08

well I have a Sophie and she is not drippy at all, thank you..

she is nearly 20 now, I must admit when she was small and we started going out to the playpark, the amount of little girls that turned round when you called 'SOPPHHIEEEE' was alarming.

HootOnABoat · 02/08/2018 12:12

What about Lucille?

Sophie is everywhere these days, I personally know 2 people with DDs called that.

MikeUniformMike · 02/08/2018 14:07

I prefer Sophie but Lucy is lovely and maybe less popular.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/08/2018 14:52

I love Isobel, then Lucy, then Sophie, good choices OP.
Isobel Sophia.

foxtiger · 02/08/2018 18:22

I love both, but I think I might like Sophie slightly better with Erin.

cptartapp · 02/08/2018 18:59

Lucy

Disneyrules · 02/08/2018 20:32

I like Lucy too Grin x

Belindabauer · 02/08/2018 21:28

I think they are similar names.
If choose the one which goes better with your surname.

Pudding01 · 02/08/2018 21:29

Looks like Lucy has smashed it again 😆 Still like Isobel too. Think I have my top two (unless I think of any more).
Thanks everyone 💕

Of the m two I'd definitely say Isobel, that's the Scottish spelling as well which is slightly more unusual and lovely.

LucyFox · 03/08/2018 12:01

Lucy ... Wink

BigLass9 · 03/08/2018 15:49

Lucy
