Baby girl name decision

Hi there,

My partner and I can't decide between 2 names for our baby girl. Can you please give us your opinion to help us make the decision.

We are also not sure about the spelling, which one do you prefer and why?

Kalina / Kalyna
Kalicia / Kalycia

I wasn't calling Kalina yooniq/made-up, I was referring to Kalicia. Sorry if that was unclear.

Because I went to decent schools. There was no name bollocks of any kind.

Well just so you know Kalicia isn't made up either. It's Indian.

Kids will be kids no matter what school they're at. You can't base no name calling at a good school on a single experience.

Kalina and Kalicia spellings. I can't bare y's in place of i's! But that's just me.

Kaleena and Kalisiya are also pretty alternative spellings.
I have known the name Alicia PRONOUNCED as Ali - siya & also as Ali - sha. So that one may be tricky.

Kalena is a Hawaiian girl's name. Lovely.

Not really. Bear is now a popular boy's name and I would dread to see it written as Bare.
I don't like Ys instead of Is either. Olyvya or Olyvyah? Shudder.

Not a single experience - more than one school. And I don’t know anyone who had name issues at school at all.

Kalina is a very normal Bulgarian name and means ladybird.

My aunties niece (on her husbands side) was recently named Alyvia.. Made me cringe so much!

Ugh! That's awful. Take a beautiful name and make it ugly. Poor kid.
