Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PestoSurfissimos · 06/07/2018 17:58

I love it 💖

StayOutOfTheForrest · 06/07/2018 17:59

Good gracious, no!

TheGoldenWolfFleece · 06/07/2018 18:00

Trying too hard to be "different"... not in a good way.

silkpyjamasallday · 06/07/2018 18:01

I know an Indigo, it suits her, but personally it isn’t a name I’d chose.

hownowhashbrowns · 06/07/2018 18:01

No.

Out of interest for a boy or a girl?

MedicinalGin · 06/07/2018 18:01

I have always loved this name- it’s a wonderful colour and has a wonderful history. I was too scared to use it though- if I ever had a third, I think I would squeeze it in as a middle name!

Go for it, OP- it’s fab! 💙

Moominfan · 06/07/2018 18:07

It's a beautiful name. Don't get why violet would be acceptable and indigo seen as out there

PalePinkSwan · 06/07/2018 18:09

Isn’t there some bollicks about “indigo children”?

bababia · 06/07/2018 18:10

I really like it! I also like Indie as a nn. Beautiful choice, go for it OP.

PalePinkSwan · 06/07/2018 18:10

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_children

AfterSchoolWorry · 06/07/2018 18:12

Terrible. Isn't it a euphemism for spoilt brat that the parents think is special.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 06/07/2018 18:14

It's the name of the brother in the Saffy's Angel/Permanent Rose series (my DDs' favourites). It will mean that to a lot of young women.

daisypond · 06/07/2018 18:16

I quite like it. Violet is named for the flower, not the colour per se, so it's quite different to Indigo.

LadyMarmyLard · 06/07/2018 18:17

Nice. I like it.

AfterSchoolWorry · 06/07/2018 18:17

Yeah, it's a diagnosis dodgers pseudo spiritual-denial enabling bollocks.

guiltynetter · 06/07/2018 18:21

i love it. and most people won’t have heard of ‘indigo children’

AuntieStella · 06/07/2018 18:24

I know one Indigo irl (girl) and sort-of like it.

But I had heard of Indigo children and that doesn't help.

Peachbubble · 06/07/2018 20:09

I like it

bridgetreilly · 06/07/2018 20:54

No. I like Inigo for a boy, but to me, Indigo sounds like people thought they were calling their kid Inigo without realising that was a different word.

blitzen · 06/07/2018 20:55

What Bridget said.

DiegoMadonna · 06/07/2018 21:07

I quite like it.

For a girl.

Awful.

PippilottaLongstocking · 07/07/2018 00:29

I love it!
There’s a boy called indigo in the Casson family books by Hilary McKay that someone’s already mentioned and a girl called indigo in a Cathy Cassidy book. Both books that I really enjoyed as a young teen and the name really stuck with me, it was on my list for DS1 but his dad hated it (and every other name that I suggested)

Cleo2628 · 07/07/2018 00:31

I like it, I also love indie as a NN! My daughters middle name is India.
