Hate Philippa. It's my sister's name and she despises it. It's just so ugly sounding.

I agree about Alexandra. It's a beautiful name but I'm not so keen on Alex as a nickname.

Kitty as a nickname for Elizabeth is a new one on me — it’s traditionally short for Katherine, isn’t it?

@susannach My grandmother was called Elizabeth but known as Kitty. It had never seemed strange to me but now that I think of it... maybe not. I do like Lizzie as well though, also Bess/Bessie.
