Robyn or Robin

We are expecting a baby in September and are thinking of naming the baby Robin or Robyn

We don't know the sex of the baby but I have a huge feeling it's a boy

Anyway, regardless of that, what is the correct spelling for girl or boy?

My daughter is Robyn , I considered the Robin spelling but decided I liked the Y better , I love it so much and would use it again in a minute .
