Is it too unusual for a boy?
Yes from the Robert Galbraith novels, but I think we'll stick to the Cornish giant origin.
DH and I love it, but are we setting him up for a life of "Cameron, is it?" Does that even matter? I have an unusual variation of a more common name and it's never particularly bothered me...
Thoughts? (Rhys as a middle name, if it's relevant)

I wouldn't want to give my child a name they would forever be spelling, or teased over. Sorry.

lifechangesforever · 04/06/2018 20:24

It took me about 3 reads and sounding outs to work out how I'd pronounce it (not sure I'm doing it right though!) seems quite difficult and like someone else has said, more of a mix between 2 different names.

AlliKaneErikson · 04/06/2018 23:59

I just don’t think it sounds like a name.

dinosaurkisses · 05/06/2018 00:05

It sounds like the official name of a minor aristocrat who normally goes by the nickname Bunty or something

maybejane · 05/06/2018 01:02

Sorry but it'd be a no from me, I straight up read it as Cor-moron. Cameron Rhys or Corben Rhys would be lovely alternatives however. :)

Yeaididthat · 05/06/2018 09:46

It's a mess of name if ever there was.

SassyPants · 05/06/2018 09:49

Thanks for the feedback guys, looks like it's back to the drawing board! Shame we're not having a girl, have had that one sorted for yonks.

I thought bird (and shag!)

That is a very hard name to live with.

diddl · 05/06/2018 20:53

Not to my taste, although Cormac is fab imo.
