I'm not against using nicknames on birth certificate and I have a daughter with a shortened name already but what can Cece be short for? I really love it Grin

I know a Grace who goes by Cece

Courtney Cox’s nickname was Cece because her initials are CC. So you could use any two C names and use Cece for short.

There’s a waitress called Cici on First Dates, wonder if that’s her actual name.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 31/05/2018 01:33

I know a teenage Cece. I actually don't know what it's short for in her case, but the family are Ukrainian. It suits her an awful lot and makes me quite like it, even though it's not my usual style.

Grace

Cosmoa · 31/05/2018 04:36

@ellalouise90 Cécé would be pronounced say say rather than see see. The é makes An ay sound.. Not ee.

cece · 31/05/2018 05:22

Just Cece is lovely.

Any name which ends with a -see sound, I suppose - Lucy, Nancy etc.

FawnDrench · 31/05/2018 12:52

Ciona

Mrsknackered · 31/05/2018 21:56

I know a Gracie and a Sienna that are both ‘Cece’ day to day.

MikeUniformMike · 31/05/2018 22:35

How about Bibi.

furandchandeliers · 01/06/2018 19:34

Could it be short for sienna? Or is that a bit of a stretch. I like the name sienna I've not heard it much but I know it became more popular when sienna miller was the woman of the moment Grin

furandchandeliers · 01/06/2018 21:06
