30 weeks pregnant with dd2 and me and dh literally can’t agree on a name, he likes Arden and Thalia? We already have Lily-Rose (4). I kind of like Sienna but it seems so popular now days?

I don't like either Arden or Thalia, sorry. Sienna isn't particularly popular but I think it's much nicer.

Zeelove · 16/05/2018 23:00

Thalia is lovely.

Sienna is dreadful.

duvetdaymayway · 17/05/2018 11:33

Thalia

PalePinkSwan · 17/05/2018 11:36

Arden.

I couldn’t pronounce Th properly until I was about 12, so would have been introducing myself as Failure.

Arden goes better.

InkSnail · 17/05/2018 12:00

Thalia is a lovely name, go with this one Smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/05/2018 12:42

Thalia goes very well, though I do like Sienna.

Sophronia · 17/05/2018 13:36

Thalia is lovely

redmini4 · 17/05/2018 15:52

Arden

ButFirstTea · 17/05/2018 15:56

The Th wouldn't be a problem would it? Or am I wrong about how Thalia would be pronounced? I would have thought it's said as Talia rather than Th-alia.

It's a lovely name!

PalePinkSwan · 17/05/2018 16:02

I’ve heard it as Thalia with a th, but it is one of those names people pronounce differently.

Bakerbel · 17/05/2018 16:03

Thalia is awful

Bakerbel · 17/05/2018 16:03

Sienna is lovely

SoupDragon · 17/05/2018 16:04

I think Arden and Thalia are dreadful.

starkid · 17/05/2018 16:07

I quite like both (although how are you pronouncing Thalia?)
I like how androgynous and cool Arden is :)

Sienna is a very sweet name too. It was 28 in most popular baby names in England+Wales last year, if that would put you off though.

Bakerbel · 17/05/2018 16:10

I have never once met a sienna and don’t consider it very popular

steppemum · 17/05/2018 16:11

I have only heard Thalia with a T sound at the beginning.

I have to say I was puzzled by your Op at first as I thought Arden sounded liek a boys name.
Don't like it I'm afraid.

Thalia (or Talia, you don't need the h) is nice, means blossom I think so very nice for a baby at this time of year.
Sienna is nice too.

neither are my naming style, but both sound nice even to me!

Bakerbel · 17/05/2018 16:11

Not compared to the likes of Sophia or isabella which you see all over

Thewinedidit · 17/05/2018 16:12

Arden is the name of a council estate in Glasgow. It's not a name I'd choose for my baby.

MumofBoysx2 · 17/05/2018 16:14

Not too keen on Sienna as it sounds like Senna, and Arden, sounds like Harden. So I suppose Talia. I like Clarice (prounounced Clariss), that is what we would have called our boy if he were a girl.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/05/2018 16:14

Can't stand Arden but I'm from South Warks which is probably why. I don't really like Thalia either (would pronoince it Talia). I would say Sienna matches Lily-Rose in popularity.

userabcname · 17/05/2018 16:15

Thalia

Meltedicicle · 17/05/2018 16:37

The one Arden I know is a middle aged man! I prefer Malia to Thalia, think that is one of Barack Obama’s girls. Or Thea is nice but similar. Personally not a fan of Sienna.

halfwitpicker · 17/05/2018 16:38

Arden.

Thalia reminds me of what you get in an Indian

Waterlemon · 17/05/2018 16:43

Arden - hard on Hmm

What about Eden as an alternative?

Marcipex · 17/05/2018 18:50

How do you pronounce Thalia?
I thought it was Tal- eye-ah, but I've a series of books about a Thalia, who people think is called Failure , (because she wasn't a boy.)
