Rowena and Rowenna - is there any difference?

I pronounce them both Row-eeh-na, and prefer the Rowena spelling. Am just wondering if there is any difference between the two? Or is it just a case of Sara/Sarah, Claire/Clare?

I would also pronounce them differently, but then I would pronounce Sara and Sarah differently, too. The Saras I know are all “Sah-ra” rather than “Sair-a”.
I also love the name Rowan...for a boy or girl.

I don’t know how old this post is, I was just googling my name and came across this because I’m convinced no one else in the world has my name. It’s Rowenna, (row) (when) (uh) and NOBODY can pronounce it. I don’t know how or why my mom came up with it. It’s different than Rowena because the 2 N’s make a short vowel. Please, no one name their child Rowenna. Take it from me! I love my name so much, I think it’s beautiful but no one can say it, it causes a lot of frustration in my life, and I’m forever going to be sad because no one can say my name, so I have to go by Row or Wenna. I absolutely HATE the name Rowena yet it will probably follow me for the rest of my life. Because no matter how much I say “it’s Rowenna” people will still repeat back to me “Rowena” or “Rowana”. I wish the world could say my name.
