Seraphine/Seraphina, Ophelia or Henrietta?

Three weeks to go, we are set on a boys name but no girl names as yet. I like long names, views on the above or suggestions of similar names?

Thank you!

Henrietta is fab, I know one who goes by Harry.

I find Seraphina a bit awkward, I'm not sure why though!

Ophelia is not my taste but is fine.

Purplehammer · 24/04/2018 13:21

Ophelia.
But not if your surname’s Balls.

starkid · 24/04/2018 13:30

I like all of them, but I like Henrietta a little more :)

WaxOnFeckOff · 24/04/2018 13:33

Henrietta just becomes Henri which isn’t particularly nice.

My DM who recently passed away was a Henrietta, always known as Hetty, you can also have Etta which is nice a change from all the Ellas

pipilangstrumpf · 24/04/2018 13:52

I agree. Henrietta much more likely to be shortened to Hetty, Etta etc Great name!

TatianaLarina · 24/04/2018 16:46

Yeah I hate Hetty too and Ettie. Etta’s ok.

SkippedReception · 24/04/2018 23:07

Not Henrietta. Anything but.

littlepill · 24/04/2018 23:10

Not keen on Ophelia and Henrietta is such a big name! Guess that leaves Seraphine

poopsqueak · 24/04/2018 23:23

We have a local drag act called Ophelia Balls so the name always makes me think of that 🤣

Pemba · 25/04/2018 02:56

Seraphina is pretty. Henrietta is clunky, not attractive at all, just a man's name with 'etta' tacked on. Ophelia is OK but a little odd, with sad associations.

Frank83 · 25/04/2018 16:51

We're really struggling. I like a few girls names but don't really love any if that makes sense. I'm warming to Fabienne but don't know if it sounds rather masculine?

I think they are all too fussy and convoluted...
Alexandra and Vivienne are quite nice.

Pompom42 · 25/04/2018 16:55

I like them all in this order

  1. Seraphine
  2. Henrietta
  3. Seraphina
  4. Ophelia
chezmk1988 · 25/04/2018 21:41

Seraphina

Sunnyrain69 · 25/04/2018 21:50

I have a friend called Ophelie (pronounced o-FAY-lee), which is the friends version of Ophelia and I love it.

pipilangstrumpf · 26/04/2018 08:10

Love them all! Beautiful and classic.
