April
EMma
Lily

Doesn't matter if she's born in April or not. But if it bothers you then it does matter iyswim.

I loathe the name Emma (sorry she was the OW - although if you are reading this you were one of many!). I know of other Emma's who have been the OW as well. It doesn't have nice associations for me. I think Lily is very poplar especially when used with other names ie Lily-Mai etc. Is your surname long or short? I like April though. You seem to like classic names so what about Rose, Florence or Iris. A lot depends on your surname and how will it roll of the tongue as it were.

DanceDisaster · 05/04/2018 18:18

I vote for Emma, but I do have a dd if that name, so I would say that! We chose it because it’s timeless, classic and travels well. It also is less common than you’d think. Our Emma has never had another one in any nursery group / play group / activity. I have actually never met another baby or toddler named Emma. Loads of Emilys and Emilias though.

I like Lily and April too. All nice options.

PS: sorry to hear about your break up / divorce @pixel. Some men are total fuckers aren’t they? Dd is only 3yo, so definitely not the OW!

DanceDisaster · 05/04/2018 18:19

*of that name

happydadpp · 05/04/2018 18:41

I really like Violet and Florence, much more than you’re other choices (nice as they are).

How about:
Beatrice
Emmeline
Alice
Iris (I have one)

Pixel99 · 05/04/2018 19:16

Sorry and thank you Dance Disaster this Emma is in her late 30's and I am sorry to be so anti a name. She has to accept some blame she knew he was married and was married herself. On another note I have responded on another thread to you - the one about chocolate / sweets. Have you tried the new veggie M&S Colin and Connie the Caterpillar? Seriously good.

Pixel99 · 05/04/2018 19:19

OP - what about Primrose? - although it is increasing in popularity I believe

daisypond · 05/04/2018 19:28

I like April the most. Emma is fine - classic. So is Lily. I know a few Lilys, in their 20s now, and some have changed their name because they think it lacks gravitas - so something to think about. I like Florence, too - but again - it's probably at the end of that Victorian curve now. I really dislike Violet - tiny weed - not a name to wish upon your daughter.

bridgetreilly · 05/04/2018 20:51

Emma
Lily
April (I really don't like this).

bridgetreilly · 05/04/2018 20:52

Just saw your latest post. I much prefer both Violet and Florence to Lily or April. I think I like Emma just as much as Violet or Florence.

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 05/04/2018 20:52

Emma. Lily april

Mol1628 · 05/04/2018 20:53

Emma. Lovely name for a baby, child, teen and adult.

Don’t like the others at all.

Argeles · 05/04/2018 20:56

April, although I personally prefer Avril.

Lily.

I really dislike the name Emma.

DanceDisaster · 05/04/2018 20:57

I really like Florence but not Violet.

DanceDisaster · 05/04/2018 20:58

@pixel Flowers

And thanks for the sweetie tip off! Will have to give them a go.

DanceDisaster · 05/04/2018 21:00

DramaAlpaca · 05/04/2018 21:01

Emma
Lily
April

Emma is my favourite name - I couldn't use it as I had boys.

Sophronia · 05/04/2018 21:09

Emma
April
Lily

Chocachoo · 05/04/2018 21:10

Emma
April
Lily

Love all 3!
Emma most classy and i bet it's become a lot less used in the last few years.
April very pretty, and uncommon yet 'normal'.
Lily also very pretty but a bit overused, so in your shoes I'd pick either of the other 2!

marmitecrumpets · 05/04/2018 21:23

Lily. April

Emma

Threeandabit · 05/04/2018 21:53

Lily
April
Emma

Fifthtimelucky · 05/04/2018 22:06

I only really like Emma, and think it would be very odd to call a child April unless they were actually born in April.

totallywicked · 05/04/2018 22:16
