Sibling for Merryn

Hello Smile

I’ve namechanged as DD’s name (Merryn) is not very common where I live & i’m currently 7 months pregnant so probably a bit identifiable to anyone that knows me!

We don’t know if we’re having a boy or girl.

Favourite girls names are:
Imogen
Phoebe
Romilly
Cassia

Boys names - am totally stuck. The only one I like at the moment is Flynn. Not sure if it ‘goes’ with Merryn though?

We love the name Merryn and I’ve yet to think of a name that I feel the same about.

What are your opinions on the above choices/other suggestions?

Thank you Flowers

I love Romilly.

I knew a Merryn with a brother Murray. I think Rowan would go nicely for a boy.

Farrah was on my list for dd and I believe that also means joyful. I think it also fits quite well with Merryn.

I really like Leo too, or Leon if you want something a bit less popular? I know of a Merryn who has brothers called Rowan and Ezra

I know a Merryn. Her siblings are Tamar (girl) and Orion (boy).

If you like Cornish names what about Morwenna, Zennor, Lamorna, Veryan. Or Piran or Jago for a boy.

disappearingninepatch · 06/04/2018 14:02

I love Merryn.

I used to teach a Rafferty, nn Raffy. Great name.

DullAndOld · 06/04/2018 14:04

Deryn

Baubletrouble43 · 06/04/2018 14:07

Romilly is gorgeous and sounds nice with Merryn I think. All your girls names are lovely. Flynn is ok but rhymes and that would annoy me? I like Jago as pp suggested and Treve ( not sure of spelling) is also a cornish name that would go well?

EllenJanethickerknickers · 06/04/2018 14:16

My best friend in primary school was called Veryan. Maybe too similar to Merryn.

RockafellerSkank · 06/04/2018 16:08

I love Merryn, and Romilly - great sibset. I'd think Romy is more obvious as a nn, but it's nice she has the option of being a matchy barnyard animal with her sister should they so wish! :D

Bonnie, Bliss, Blythe. All lovely too.

Felix mean happy/lucky.
