I think these clues are getting a bit obscure for me!

applesandpears56 · 05/04/2018 21:37

How is a mouse eater - Nora?

LadyGAgain · 05/04/2018 21:38

Gnaw-er

diddl · 05/04/2018 21:39

Rodenty eater-eats like a rodent- a gnawer.

LadyGAgain · 05/04/2018 22:46

Please can we have a new clue @diddl ? Loving this game despite being useless at it!

diddl · 06/04/2018 07:56

We're waiting for Finty to do a new name!

FintyTin · 06/04/2018 08:11

Oooh, did I get it? Yay! Thanks folks, that one drove me Batty...I'll get my coat.

Not as good as diddl's:

He could be from the north, or the south.
You'll never convict him.

New clue:

This children's authors name is now surprisingly found on some slim volumes for adults. Meow, she might say.

FintyTin · 06/04/2018 14:20

DuggeeHugs · 06/04/2018 15:20

No such thing as too much Duggee @FintyTin Grin

You're up!

OP posts:
diddl · 06/04/2018 15:29

Explanation please?

DuggeeHugs · 06/04/2018 15:40

Sorry diddl

Enid Blyton is a children's author. In the last few years there have been a rash of "slim volumes" such as Enid Blyton's Five Go Gluten Free and Five On Brexit Island. The cat in Hey Duggee is called Enid.

diddl · 06/04/2018 15:53

Thanks.

It was the slim volumes that had me stumped even knowing the answer iyswim.

I'd heard of the Ladybird books but not the EB ones.

Everyday's a school day as they say.

DuggeeHugs · 06/04/2018 18:22

This game has definitely broadened my knowledge base! Smile

FintyTin · 06/04/2018 18:26

Glad you agree DuggeeHugs (guessed you probably would Grin).

This chap could be the apple of your eye. All the best guessing his name - you'll have to be quick!
