Rosamund (Rosie) or Robyn

Like the formal name of Rosamund with youthful NN that could be used til older.

but also like Robyn as can’t be shortened and is what it is.

I really like both, but I think Robyn has the edge.

ChocolateCrunch · 08/03/2018 15:49

Robyn. Don't like the 'mund' sound in Rosamund.

Pemba · 08/03/2018 16:46

Prefer Rosamund, as Robyn sounds a bit ambiguous and unisex.

lottiegarbanzo · 08/03/2018 16:46

Rosamund - or other name abbreviating to Rosie

Robyn still seems like a made up name to me, a recent feminisation of Robin.

starkid · 08/03/2018 18:14

Robyn :)

Blondemother · 08/03/2018 18:21

Absolutely love Robyn!

Elllicam · 08/03/2018 18:23

I prefer Robyn but also prefer the spelling Robin.

Wilma55 · 08/03/2018 18:26

How about Roisin (Rosheen) meaning little Rose?

Upsidedownandinsideout · 08/03/2018 18:27

Rosamund by a mile! She could be a cute Rosie or an elegant Rosamund.

Robyn feels a bit 80s to me, like Sharyn or Karen.

MikeUniformMike · 08/03/2018 20:01

I'd just use Rosie, or Rose/Rosa with Rosie as a nn. Prefer Rosalind to Rosamund. Don't like Robyn.

chocolateiamydrug · 08/03/2018 21:01

Robyn!!! cool name and not too many about.

Rosamund is just awful. as is Rosie.

These 2 names are miles apart, interesting that they are the 2 contenders.

PinkLemonade4 · 08/03/2018 21:37

Robyn 100%. Classic and beautiful.

Rosamund is awful. Clunky and old lady.

thegreylady · 09/03/2018 08:43

Rosamund is beautiful, it means Rose of the World.
Rosie is a pretty nn too. I have a dgd who is just Rosie.
I like Robyn but love Rosamund.

MrsFantastic · 09/03/2018 08:50

For those suggesting the Robin spelling, isn't Robin usually the spelling for boys and Robyn for girls?

I also think Rosamund is quite a harsh name. Rosalind is nicer. I also like Rosa.

lottiegarbanzo · 09/03/2018 08:52

Yes, Robin is a boys' name.

Sophronia · 09/03/2018 08:53

Definitely Rosamund! It’s beautiful. Robyn feels a bit 80s.
