Evelina or Georgiana

Im just curious what everyone’s thoughts are on these names. I love both of them, but I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to use them, also feel I I will regret it if I choose something like Charlotte (a pretty name, but not quite as ‘special’ to me)
My husband particularly likes Evelina and wants Violet as the middle name.
DS is Alexander and we don’t shorten his name (although I suspect when he goes to school that will happen). We do like the nicknames for both the girls names - Evie/Lina and Georgie/Gigi.
I’m stuck! Any other suggestions welcome - I love Jane Austen/Georgette Heyer type names. Thanks.

Love them both - how would you pronounce Georgiana. I'm assuming Geor-Jane-ah not George-e-arna?

How about Genevieve? I wanted to call DD2 this but DH wasn't as keen as me...

Sorry OP but I agree with CPTart. Both too frilly for me.
Frilliness does seem to be an increasing fashion for girls named at the mo though so I am probably just behind the times!
Evalina is pretty (and I like the potential abbreviations Eva or LGeorgiana just sounds too much

Having said all if that, if you like the names then go for it OP. They are perfectly good names really and you are never going to find a name that is universally approved of!

My cousin is a lovely Evelina. It makes me think posh Italian!

I don’t like any of the Georg- variants for girls. At all.

Evangeline is lovely in a way BUT it was the subject of one of my favorite Mumsnet remarks ever: "Evangeline makes me feel like I just ate two cream cakes, and regretted at least one of them."
