Currently 25 weeks pregnant with girl number four and really struggling with her name.
We already have:

Daisy Dorothy
Betty Tabitha
Kitty Matilda

I like traditional/unusual names, with middle names that can be abbreviated incase they grow to hate their first name.

Short list for the new baby is
Winnie
Quincy
Bunty

Middle name Dolores or Delilah.

I'm not completely sold on them though, any opinions or other suggestions?

Dolly Delilah

LoveInTokyo · 26/02/2018 08:42

Bunty is awful, sounds like the name of a girl in the upper fourth at Mallory Towers who grew up to become president of the WI.

Your daughters will have a wonderful sisterly relationship.

I hate my sister. Seriously.

Anyway - what about Poppy? Or Rosie?

Primrose (Prim)
Evangeline (Evie)
Charlotte (Lottie)

I like Winnie Delilah!

We used to live opposite three wonderful old ladies called Kitty, Winnie and Gertie in case that helps.

What about Jeanie? Too American? Very cute.
Jeanie Gertrude?

Sukie Virginia

Posy Lucinda

I know an 8 year old Hettie. I love her name and it really suits her. She has friends called Lottie and Harriet (Hettie, Harri) which could also fit with your other girls' names.

user1472334322 · 26/02/2018 18:43

Hattie as nn for Harriet, not Hettie again! Hettie is just Hettie but I guess could be Henrietta if you wanted.

MyDcAreMarvel · 26/02/2018 18:46

Felicity .

SugarMiceInTheRain · 26/02/2018 18:49

Sukie, Hattie, Polly, Edith (Edie might be better with the other names though), Lucy, Molly, Maggie, Sally.... I reckon any of these sounds good with your other girls' names.

pepperpop · 26/02/2018 18:52

Winnie reminds me of winnet Blush (google the meaning if you aren't sure...!)

Love the suggestion of Posy.

GertieMotherwell · 28/02/2018 13:30

She’s compiling a list of names only ending in ‘Y’

Lifeaback · 28/02/2018 13:53

What about Nancy? Seems to fit well with the others, others which spring to mind are- Annie, Hattie, Lottie, Edie? Off your list I like Winnie the most

holeinmyheart be grateful for WHAT you have. Seriously so much of what you say is massive generalisations and cliches. I know so many girls/women who have very complicated/difficult relationships with their mothers for while mother/son relationships are often more simple but devoted. What about the 1000s of women who still move away from home/ abroad because of their husbands job? Serious myth to think all daughters “will never leave you” while sons are straight out the door never to be seen again?!
