Stuck between two girls names

Wanting peoples opinions and thoughts on these two girls names I can’t decide between.

Ita Vogue

Or

Vogue Marlo
I really love both but am unsure of peoples reactions to the name vogue. Is it too out there?

Vogue is aweful
Sorry on a tube train, struggling to type

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 23/02/2018 08:52

Well Ita has the advantage of being an actual name, so I would go for that.

My mum had an aunt Ita, it was a common name in Ireland in the early 20th century. Also I know a few little Ídes in South County Dublin, which I suppose is the same name as gaeilge.

Having seen another thread, how about Taykabreak Barnsley?

MikeUniformMike · 23/02/2018 15:11

Is there a female version of Balonz?
Tak'abreak Balonzie?

HonkyWonkWoman · 23/02/2018 15:15

Not Ita,
Not Vogue Grin
And not Marlo.

All horrible names!!

Quickerthanavicar · 23/02/2018 15:24

Ita kinda magic

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 23/02/2018 15:58

Arlo is a popular boys name at the moment and Marlow is a town so Marlo feels a strange choice to me.

I think that you'd need to be very confident and outgoing to carry off Vogue as you'd end up with oldies like me doing the Madonna dance and people judging your fashion and make up. Are you into fashion?

Is Ita - Ee ta or Eye-ta?

Ita Vogue = Italian Vogue in my opinion which is a big no. Imagine if she works at Italian Vogue!!

dkb15164 · 23/02/2018 16:41

Reads like vague imo

AthenaAshton · 23/02/2018 16:44

Another vote for Balonz. Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 23/02/2018 18:10

Yes, absolutely.

Or Balonzette which is a feminine version.

Balonzette Vogue-Ita?

Vogue Balonzita?

SofieMonde · 24/02/2018 11:33

What about Senor Ita Vogue? lol

MikeUniformMike · 24/02/2018 13:54

Vogue Balonz-Ita.
I like Balonzette.
How about Voguabelle?

JessieMcJessie · 24/02/2018 14:02

There’s an australian singer or actress called Vogue who went out with him out of Westlife who used to be married to Kerry Katona....Vogue Williams? Think she possibly had cancer but is in remission now?

Just thinking that it may be more recognisable as a girl’s name in Oz.

But I’m sorry OP, both choices are pretty awful to my ear/eye.

StatelessPrincess · 24/02/2018 14:08

Why would would you give your daughter a name that means fashionable? Of all the things you could want for her and of all the names there are is this really the best you can come up with? The name of a magazine and a daft dance/song, its quite depressing really. The chances of her hating it when she's older are so high.

JessieMcJessie · 24/02/2018 14:09

Just looked it up. Vogue Williams was indeed married to BrianMcFadden but she's Irish.

Delta Goodrem was the Australian he dated who had cancer.

Mossbystrand · 24/02/2018 18:43

Sorry I don't like your name choices. I think people will laugh at your child. There are far more classier alternatives than Vogue, Ita or Marlo.

Ok I've pinched this name from another baby name thread but how about Adelaide? Since you're Australian it won't be so out there iyswim. Or Adeline, Adelina, Adele?

Just remember you're naming an adult as well as a child and you don't want to set them up for a life time of bullying and ridicule.
