First name and surname combination

Could you please let me know your thoughts on this?

Surname rhymes with Parsley and I'm considering the first name Elsie. Is that too many l's and s's and y's? Does it sound weird? If it makes a difference the full name on the birth certificate would be Elizabeth/Elisabeth but the idea would be the use Elsie day to day (unless she decides to change it when she's older etc etc).

Your views would be appreciated Smile

I don’t think it’s too much of a problem especially if you use Elizabeth on official forms etc
It wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me at all.

Elizabeth on bc. It depends on the surname if Elsie goes with it but it's probably fine.

Thanks both.

MikeUniformMike the full name would be very similar to "Elizabeth Parsley" or "Elsie Parsley" for day to day use.

I got the Parsley bit. I meant it depends on what the start of the name was. Elsie Car... sounds better than Elsie Ar...
Not putting in the surnames I'm thinking of in case it might be outing.

It’s too close to rhyming for me. I have a personal dislike of rhyming names.

The full name sounds fine to me. Elsie is a nice name and it's not going to be often that people use it in conjunction with her surname anyway.

Sounds cute ! 😄

Thanks all (and thanks Mike for not posting the real surname Smile). It seems that most think it's OK which is good.

I think Elizabeth is better, but then I prefer it as a name anyway. Elsie is a bit rhymey-rhymey with the surname, but not too much. It's fine.
