Looking for suggestions of girls’ names as above please!
I have some tenuous connection to Denmark and Germany and like the names but would need something that works in the UK too.

I like
Annika/Anneka/Anneke
Annalise
But DH is not keen

Further suggestions welcome!

I would warn you now anything spelt with -e on the end is sounded -a and will lead to a lifetime of telling people how to pronounce/spell your name or just giving up and accepting your entire workplace says/spells your name wrong.

Also no-one English can pronounce Tove.

thepatchworkcat · 08/02/2018 18:39

Thanks all!

How is Signe pronounced please?

Yes Anna I take your point!
I’m used to pronouncing e at the end of things as I speak German but you’re right, most English people wouldn’t...

Oh I love so many of those names!
But they don’t all work with the surname.
Thanks for replies.

It’s hard to know what is considered old-fashioned in another country but I like Laerke, Signe, Solveig.
