Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone knows the full name for Archie? I love it but it's too cutesy and I'd atleaat like a full , longer option for formal things and adult life

The only long version I know is Archibald.

I love Archie, it's so cute

Archer? Doesn't feel any more 'proper' than Archie though.

Archie is lovely.

TerrysChocolate · 12/01/2018 17:18

That's the 2 I was thinking about coincidentally! When I think about it, I don't think I'd really question an adult with 'archie'.

Archer is truly awful and makes me think of Jeffrey, alleged best-selling author, lord and ex-convict.
Archibald is also awful.
Archie is a popular name for cockapoos and labradoodles.

I worked with an Archie, short for Arthur!

I’d always assumed he was an Archibald.

Have to agree with a pp I'm afraid, I can't get over how many dogs are called Archie. I think Archibald is the full name though.
Arthur is amazing and could nn Arty? Similar?!

My DS is Archie and actually it really suits him as it means 'the brave and bold one' Smile
