Hi everyone Smile,
I've got an issue, my partner and I are not married, and we're gonna have a baby, the point it that I'm Spanish (in Spain we don't change our surname when we get married, so I have my dads surname first and then my mums), we live in England and my partner is English. So when we will have a baby idk what to do with the surname, put his and mine(but if we put both surnames and then one day we get married and I get his surname, the baby will have both...) , just his....but if I put just his... I want my baby to have mine too...
ConfusedI don't know what to do... any advice

Thanks :)

Give the baby your surname or both.

Would your partner consider taking your surname? Not the traditional way but not unheard of.

Your surname or both surnames. (You could still change that after getting married...)

Btw, I agree with the pp. Your DP could take your surname or you could take each other’s/ hyphenate?

You don't have to take his name if you marry (especially as it isn't the tradition in Spain); lots of people shun the tradition in the UK now.

Give the baby your name.

Your surname if you are not married, definitely.

If you marry and change your name you can change the baby's surname at the same time.

Keep to your Spanish naming tradition. Give your baby both surnames.
