37 weeks with DC3, don't know what we're having but we've got a fairly solid girls shortlist.

We've really struggled all the way along to find a boys name we can agree on - boys names are a bit of a weakness for us anyway, as DS ended up being called something that hadn't been anywhere near our shortlist (and none of those felt right anyway).

At the moment, the only name that feels close to being 'right' is Elliot/ Elliott.

Would you spell it with one or two t's?

And as DS is George, is the literary connection going to be obvious and/or too twee?

One T, for me. But he'll be in for a lifetime of mispellings!

Gorgeous name. I picture a dark haired dark eyed sweet polite little boy.
Oh and yes spell it with one T

Parmesanity · 06/01/2018 15:46

One t. One of my two favourite names. Awww ours is sweet and polite Smile

It's not an unusual name but isn't an over-popular choice so still feels a little different.

ChocolateCrunch · 06/01/2018 15:51

Definitely one t. It's a name I've always liked.

Lovely, lovely name

Thank you everyone. I know three Elliots under 3, one with two t's, but will go with the overall consensus of one t.

Me and DD have names that have spelling variations, and our surname is very uncommon, so he won't be alone in the mis-spelling club!

He (if it's a he) will most likely have dark eyes like his dad, sister and brother, but quite fair otherwise.

Middle name will be Duncan after BIL who died a year ago this weekend, baby is due on his birthday later this month.
