Looking for a name to go with his sisters names. We often shorten the girls names so looking for something with a nice diminutive too. Like Arthur and Spencer atm but not keen or Art/Artie or Spence. Any names we may not have thought of mumsnetters?

We have an Arthur . I also dislike Art/Artie but it never seems to come up. He’s just Arthur. We love the name and it’s admired where we live (US) - less of a trend here than it seems it has been recently in UK. Like your girls’ names! My grandmother was Mabel.

Had twins in my family called Evelyn and Edwin (Evie &Eddie) also Albert and Herbert oh and Percy. I personally love all of these names and they were wonderful people too.

I know it can't really be shortened, but the first name that came into my mind to go with Evelyn and Mabel was Jude.
