Baby name help

I am due in 3 weeks time and DH are on completely different pages regarding baby names. We both have made lists but can’t agree on a name.

I like ‘old fashioned’ names or vaguely nature inspired names. I don’t mind a shortened name but don’t want to put the short version of the birth certificate. The baby will a very common surname so ideally I don’t want anything top 50.

My DH doesn’t like ‘old fashioned’ names as he says they are old fashioned. Instead he likes the number one name for a girl in the UK (but wants to spell it slightly differently) or names I see as very girly/cutesy (Daisy, poppy, etc). The only two boys names he has suggested are from Norse mythology and I hate them.

Suggestions? Help?

Okay, so how about classic/timeless rather than specifically old fashioned.

Or you could use something like Emmeline, Amal, Emiliana or Amelie as a nod to Amelia/Emilia (that's still the no 1 name right?)

Maybe:
Astrid, Alice, Charlotte, Clara, Delilah, Eleanor, Florence, Frances, Georgina, Grace, Harriet, Hannah, Helena, Isabel, Joanna, Josephine, Katherine, Louisa, Lydia, Miranda, Maria, Nadia, Philippa, Rebecca, Rachel, Rosemary, Rosanna, Susannah, Tabitha, Victoria, Verity, Vivienne

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Sadly almost all the names mentioned are ones I’ve already discussed with DH and he doesn’t like them as he says are old fashioned! My own name has been mentioned as well with several variations on the lists.

Avianna - means "Bird", shortened to Avia, Avi, Ava, etc
Gioia - pronounced Joy-Ah, so could shorten it to Joy
Lavinia - nice, vintage alternative to the number one name for a girl in the UK that your DH likes Wink
Alethea - another unique alternative for that popular name
Astrid - DH liked norse names for boys, maybe he'd like them for girls too?
Ingrid - great norse name, means "beautiful"
Liv - another norse name that means "life"

Finn
Bohdi
Kai
Brook
Forrest
Callum - means "Dove"
Orson - means "Bear"
Cole
Robert
Eric/Erik - the K spelling is popular in Scandinavian countries, maybe it might appeal to your DH?
Frederick
Franklin

I’ve got Astrid on my list but my DH doesn’t like it as it is too Scandinavian!?!? Quite a few of the names mentioned are already on my list or I already have friends children with those names.

Will discuss with DH over the next few days and see if there is anything we can agree on!

We may need to wait until the baby is born and see what it looks like!

But if he like some names from Norse mythology... why would he dislike a name for being ‘too Scandinavian’...?

Ylva, Alva, Signy, Ingrid, Ida, Maya/Maja, Saga, Frederic/ka, Serena, Julia, Linnea, Luna, Ronja/Ronya, Bianca, Eleanor, Cleo, Sunniva, Hermione, Minerva, Carlotta, Odette, Agatha, Xanthe.
