100% Sebastian.

Lewis has had its day. It's not a particular nice name either.

Gregor is the name is a Viking. Are you a Viking?

CatInTheChristmasTree · 14/12/2017 16:40

Of a Viking*Grin

CaptainChristmas · 14/12/2017 16:51

Haha not a Viking sadly... or not sadly... not sure how i might like to be a Viking!

Gregor and Lewis are both names we heard a lot in Scotland. We aren’t actually Scottish, (I’m Irish and dh is English), but we lived in Scotland for three years after university and I think that’s influenced my taste in baby names a bit! My absolute favourite is Hamish, but dh says no way (boo).

Sebastian is my fave of those three

Opheliasgoldenwine · 14/12/2017 17:21

Sebastian Smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/12/2017 17:39

Definitely Gregor for me.😄

Emilybrontescorsett · 14/12/2017 17:43

I've never heard of Gregor.
I like Lewis best.

Buntysoven · 14/12/2017 17:49

My dad used to sing alternative lyrics to Steve Harley's song Sebastian.."Somebody called me Sebastian" became quite unsavoury! Niche but it puts me right off the name. One of my former colleagues was a Lewis. Gorgeous human being. Gregor's ok

eastlondoner · 14/12/2017 18:00

Lewis is my favourite out of those. But I don't love it.

user1459464195 · 14/12/2017 18:53

I like all three

I know of a few Sebastians at the moment though, in case popularity is a factor for you. All three are dashing and manly to me. Good choices.

BenLui · 14/12/2017 18:57

If you like Scottish names what about Angus, Struan or Euan?

PinkAvocado · 14/12/2017 19:21

Love Hamish but as your OH vetoed that...I like Lewis. It’s not a name you hear a lot yet is strong and familiar. Not keen on Gregor and although I feel I should like it, I really dislike Sebastian. I hate Sebby as a diminutive and the ‘bast’ part of the name sounds awful to me. I’m definitely in the minority though as it is always given positive reviews on here.

happylantern · 14/12/2017 19:26

Sebastian Smile

CaptainChristmas · 14/12/2017 19:27

Euan gives me chills as I know a really awful one.

I love Angus, Struan, Innes and Hamish, but dh isn’t keen on any of them.

Irish names which I love (dh not keen); Rory, Fergus & Conan.

I like all your names that your DH doesn’t! Grin

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/12/2017 19:32

Sebastian by a million miles.

CaptainChristmas · 14/12/2017 19:32

@pink

You have fabulous taste! Pesky dh having his own opinion Wink.

I like Lewis.
Sebastian sounds very posh and Gregor would be clunky on a little child.

Ropsleybunny · 14/12/2017 19:34

Sebastian

Patal · 14/12/2017 19:35

Sebastian by a mile

Lewis is very popular which puts me off and Gregor is just very bleurgh

Humv · 14/12/2017 19:37

Definitely Sebastian, agree with PPs, would sound lovely for a little boy or as an adult

PinkAvocado · 14/12/2017 19:38

Is it Scotland where Lewis is very popular. I only know 1 adult one (very south of England).

MikeUniformMike · 14/12/2017 19:38

Lewis and Sebastian are F1 related.
I don't like Sebastian.
Gregor sounds Scottish. Gregory is better.
Of the 3, Lewis.

MikeUniformMike · 14/12/2017 19:39

Hamish is loads better than the other 3 and is very nice. I also like Angus.

overmydeadbody · 14/12/2017 19:43

To me, Lewis is a 'naughty boy' name. For some reason every Lewis I ever taught in ten years was challenging or difficult in e way, but it could just be this area (SE)

Sebastian is my favourite, line Hamish too, shame you can't use that!
