I like it, my husand likes it, but a few folks have turned their noses up. She's our last baby, we already have an Ophelia. What do you think? Here's a pic...Thanks

Also on the Heloise team.

She's beautiful OP Flowers

Eloise is nicer than Elouisa

Enko · 05/12/2017 18:25

I am firmly on team Eloisa As mine is 18 in January. We have only ever had very positive reactions to her name. Personally I do not care for the u in the name however it is now a possible way to spell it so if you prefer it go with the u. NDN is Heloise and says she hated it as a child and still now isnt keen (is known as Elly) Our Eloisa has only ever been known by her name.

Enko · 05/12/2017 18:28

PS Dont allow people to sway your opinion they will get used to the name. DS is Conrad and we had loads who turned their name up when he was born 16 years ago now they all say how much they like it (because they like/love him)

daisypond · 05/12/2017 19:56

Elouisa looks odd to me as a spelling. Eloise/Louisa are lots better. Congratulations.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 05/12/2017 20:10

Thanks everyone

I meant to add Congratulations.
She is beautiful.

Littleraincloud · 05/12/2017 20:48

I love the sound but Eloise looks better. I also like Elise but I'm not sure where the accent goes to make it rhyme with Louise ( I fell in love with the name in France as a teen). To me Ophelia and Elise is easier to say than Ophelia and Eloisa?

Littleraincloud · 05/12/2017 20:49

I may have spelled it wrong it sounds like "El eez"

Littleraincloud · 05/12/2017 20:50

By the way scrumptious baby!

Courgettekatie · 05/12/2017 20:54

Aww, she’s gorgeous. Elouisa is lovely as are the other suggestions made here. But try to just enjoy your baby and not worry too much about pleasing other people, I wish mine were still this small

rcit · 05/12/2017 20:58

Elouisa is too jumbled imo.

Louisa
Or
Elise
Or
Eloise

PasstheStarmix · 05/12/2017 21:01

Congratulations awww you're dd is beautiful. I love the name Eloisa or Eloise.

PasstheStarmix · 05/12/2017 21:02

And I agree enjoy your beautiful baby and call her what means the most to you; it doesn't matter what others think. This is your special moment and your baby.

Ellieboolou27 · 05/12/2017 21:05

Beautiful baby - Louisa is much better but then I'm bias as it's my 2yo's name Smile

MissCalamity · 05/12/2017 21:27

Beautiful baby girl, congratulations!

I don’t like the look of the u in Elouisa & you would be forever spelling it out for people.

I have an Eloise, so love that name & have had it spelt Elouise & my favourite
Ell-louise Hmm

purpleme12 · 05/12/2017 22:38

Me too misscalamity! Never ever thought I'd have so much trouble with the spelling of that name. We spelt it the right way and it's not an 'out there' name! So annoys me

stellarfox · 05/12/2017 23:02

Congratulations! Also agree Eloisa is a better spelling. Also like Eloise and Louisa. What about Esme or Elspeth too?

PasstheStarmix · 06/12/2017 11:03

I love Eloise, not so keen on Louisa though, don't know why..

chocdog · 06/12/2017 11:07

Team Heloise here.
But she is absolutely gorgeous and will grace any name.

calamityjam · 06/12/2017 11:31

Miss calamity, it seems we have a similar user name and both have a dd named Eloise!

MissCalamity · 06/12/2017 12:07

Ha ha calamityjam great minds & all that!! Grin

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 06/12/2017 12:13

Congratulations OP. These are my preferences :
Louisa
Eloïse
Élise
Louise

Elouisa is too much of a mish mash imo.

MadameJosephine · 08/12/2017 23:50

Gorgeous baby 😍

Elouisa is a syllable too many for me, Eloise or Louisa are both beautiful names but Elouisa is too much
