Helena or Susanna

Which do you prefer? We’re looking for a classic English but not too popular name for DD2.
We would probably use shortenings - Nell or Susie.
Names I like but can’t use because of close family/DH has vetoed are:
Jemima
Eliza
Georgia
Tabitha
Middle name will likely be Charlotte, to honour family.
Interested to hear what people think and also get any more suggestions.

LOVE Helenna

*helena!

ChocolateCrunch · 27/11/2017 06:46

I like Nell, but not keen on Helena
Susanna is nicer and I like Susie, and I think it sounds better with the middle name of Charlotte

I like Helena and Felicity from your updated list. Lovely names!

BewareOfTheToddler · 27/11/2017 07:06

Both are beautiful but I definitely think Susannah needs the h at the end.

capercaillie · 27/11/2017 07:10

Love both but susanna edges it. Also prefer as Susannah though.

MammieBear · 27/11/2017 09:42

All lovely can't lose with them

pipilangstrumpf · 27/11/2017 11:26

Susanna without the h! Why add an extra letter that isn't pronounced?

TheodoreTheChipmunk · 27/11/2017 14:31

Much prefer Susanna. Susie is a lovely name.

Hobbitch · 27/11/2017 14:38

I love both but prefer Susanna! It's my daughter's name. We call her Susie and Suse.

Uhohmummy · 27/11/2017 19:59

Thanks for the feedback. Opinion seems divided so I'll have to wait and see which suits her best!
