I am due with my second child in less than two weeks and hubby and I cannot decide on any names!

Our first 19m old child's name is Sofia Elene - my hubby/her dad is half Greek

For our second child we cannot find a Greek name we both like so our other choices are:-

Sienna rose Zenovia (zenovia after his Cypriot gran)

Or Florence Zenovia

I worry though that Florence is too old fashioned what is everyone's preference and is siennas name too long. I added rose to calm down the floral sound of first and middle name

Your help will be much appreciated
Thanks
Sam P - stressed mum lol

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know a few babies called Florence so its not too old fashioned at all.

I love your family name of Zenovia though - so different.

I'd have Zenovia Florence.

SouthernSons · 26/11/2017 05:55

I prefer Florence Zenovia. Then Sienna Zenovia, it doesn't need the Rose.

Florence was on our list - we also liked Lillian, Camilla, Beatrix, Zelda and Frances.

I know a few little florences, I defo wdnt put it in an old fashioned category , I absolutely love it with ur chosen middle name..Go with tht one IMO. I think sienna is a bit 'trendy'!

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 26/11/2017 06:06

What about Zenovia Rose?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 26/11/2017 06:18

Definitely Sienna Zenovia or Zenovia Sienna/Rose.

BikeRunSki · 26/11/2017 06:31

Florence is very popular, not old fashioned at all.

SammyPetrides · 26/11/2017 06:33

Hi all

Thanks so much for your responses the reason why I haven't done Zenovia as a first name is because with my first child as Sofia and second and Zenovia they are very similar sounding and I'll get all confused if I need to tell them off lol

That's why I'm thinking Florence Zenovia or Sienna Zenovia. Continue to let me know your thoughts it's massively helping xx

Florence is very popular these days. I prefer Sienna Rose Zenovia, I think it does sound better with Rose in there. (Sienna Zenovia sounds like a bit of a tongue twister, but maybe that's just me!)

ChocolateCrunch · 26/11/2017 07:31

Do you like the Greek version Florentia? Might be too much of a mouthful with Zenovia though? How about Flora?

SammyPetrides · 26/11/2017 07:41

I do like florentia but not with Zenovia lol too tongue twister esq xxx

Florence is one of those old fashioned names that's made a come back

I prefer Florence Zenovia

AnyaMoondial · 26/11/2017 16:18

Florence Zenovia is wonderful.

mondler · 26/11/2017 17:56

I like Florence zenovia best, I think it's very pretty and that Florence and Sofia work very well as sibling names!

Sienna is nice but I think Sienna Rose Zenovia is a tad long (but that's just me). Plus if you had Sienna you'd have both girls with S names- not sure if that would bother you or not (just thinking practically)?

Beautiful choices though - congrats Smile

formerbabe · 26/11/2017 17:57

I prefer Sienna to Florence. I think it goes better with Sofia. I know Florence is quite popular now but I find it very twee.

Yika · 26/11/2017 19:17

You don't need the'Rose'. Sienna Zenovia or Florence zenovia are beautiful on their own.

Patal · 26/11/2017 19:22

I prefer Sienna Zenovia and agree you don't need the Rose in there too

BakedBeeeen · 26/11/2017 20:57

If you choose Siena with one 'n' you will have daughters both named after cities.

SammyPetrides · 27/11/2017 08:35

Thanks all for your responses it has really helped and we will go with he general consensus of Florence Zenovia ! My little fi (Sofia) and flo (florence). Seriously thank you for taking the time xxxxx

I have a Greek friend called paraskevi which I think is quite unusual in Greece - I always thought that was a lovely name if that helps

ladybirdsaredotty · 27/11/2017 08:43

Lovely name, OP!

SpottyBrolly · 27/11/2017 08:49

That's a lovely choice you've made.x

MammieBear · 27/11/2017 09:30

Looks like you've sorted it very sweet.

Jedigirl29 · 05/01/2018 13:14

Florence for a nn can be shortened to Flossie if that helps add a modern touch onto it
