Loudon - as in loo-don or loud(to rhyme with cloud)-on

There is a castle with an old theme park louden castle. Beautiful grounds.

I'd think Loo-dn as English pronunciation and Loud-un as US.

Not sure about other UK nations.

I instantly thought "Loud en" as in Cloud, loud etc

Yeah, bruffin, I remembered that it was pronounced the opposite way from how I always thought it was pronounced. Unfortunately I forgot how I always thought it was pronounced Grin. I only heard it said recently, when I watched a documentary on Rufus W.
