Posted a while ago about an insta mummy blogger type person calling her baby Gravity. The more I said it, the more I liked it Blush

I've been stalking looking at lots of Instagrams today, and seen a little baby in America called Button. I thought it was maybe a nickname, but no there was a birth announcement for baby Button.
Again, I've said it so much that it's really grown on me probably a good thing I won't be having anymore children

Is your surname Moon? Confused

PattyPenguin · 20/11/2017 22:21

I disagree with PPs. I think Velcro is a lovely name.

MikeUniformMike · 20/11/2017 22:24

I love the name Weasel.

QuantumPixies · 20/11/2017 22:25

Weasel is nice for a girl. I prefer Stoat for a boy.

NapQueen · 20/11/2017 22:26

A make up artist in the US I follow has just had a "Babe". Odd.

I rather like Peach and Star.

Mishappening · 20/11/2017 22:27

My vote is for Zip.

ShotsFired · 21/11/2017 07:00

@MikeUniformMike and @QuantumPixies Weasel is nice for a girl. I prefer Stoat for a boy

That's all well and good, but Weasel is very common.

In fact, you could say that Weasel is weaselly recognised, but Stoat is stoatally different.

ithankyou Grin

Vole's nice.

Volevolevole.

And it's an anagram of 'love' which makes it even better.

And 'velo', which is brilliant if you're French and you like bikes.

ShotsFired · 21/11/2017 07:15

@TossDaily Volevolevole

Too much like

SuperBeagle · 21/11/2017 07:51

I saw this, and couldn't figure out whether the baby's name was actually Ruth or Babe. Because she says the baby is named for her mother (Ruth), and there's Babe Ruth, so I wasn't sure whether she was just alluding to him...

Littleraincloud · 21/11/2017 07:55

I love the name Chlamydia, Mydia for nn obviously. Why is it so under used?

Mrsknackered · 21/11/2017 07:56

I love Stoat, like a less sleezy sounding Sloane

MammieBear · 21/11/2017 16:40

For a Cat yes not a human unless a Nn and not on BC.

dinosaurkisses · 21/11/2017 16:44

I saw a baby announcement on Reddit a few months ago for a baby boy called Cable. Yes, as in something you plug into the telly.

weebarra · 21/11/2017 17:01

Dinosaur- maybe it was an amalgamation of Cain and Able?

MikeUniformMike · 21/11/2017 19:48

I do like Vole. Cable is OK too, Like Vince Cable without the Vince.

Fekko · 21/11/2017 19:50

I'm thinking Bastard might be nice. For a boy. Catflap for a girl.

borntobequiet · 21/11/2017 19:54

Button and Hole.
What's not to like?

Panicattheschoolgate · 21/11/2017 21:47

Always liked cookie, cherry and cloud. Good job I had a boy and DH who wouldn’t allow shitty names.

littlemisscomper · 21/11/2017 21:53

Littleraincloud

Not 'Chlamy'? That's nice too!

Popchyk · 21/11/2017 22:11

Gravity and Button sound like names that Sarah Palin would give her kids.

I've just googled the names of Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol's three children.

Tripp, Sailor and Atlee. The latter two are girls. Of course.

BikeRunSki · 21/11/2017 22:14

Alice Cooper’s daughter is called Calico, which I have always thought was an excellent not-really-a-name.

milkmoustache · 21/11/2017 22:22

Scart is a good one.

Lovelylovelyladies · 21/11/2017 22:24

God, Toggle is to good to miss out on!

I think Saltan-Vinegar has a good ring to it.

TheVanguardSix · 21/11/2017 22:25

I've always loved Enema for girl. DH hates it.
If we had twin girls, we'd name them Lillet and Gillette.
Viakal for a boy as a nod to DH's Hungarian roots.
