As the title suggests really

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby and DP and I cannot agree on any boys names - not a single one

Girls names aren't an issue we have a shortlist - Anna, Clara etc......

I love the name Robbie but DP hates it and his only suggestion has been Benjamin which I really don't like Confused

I like quiet short, kind of classic names which don't date as such and can't really be shortened to a nn. Nothing too modern or popular - easy peasy I don't know why cant agree Hmm

Any suggestions welcome

James (I still think you can use this and you can’t “date” a James) Grin

There have been some great suggestions on here - thanks guys!

I really need on from the whole Robbie thing but I'm struggling to let it go and it's kinda clouding my judgement about everything else!

Current favourites are James, Darragh and possibly Ruaridh Smile

How about Robert.

I wouldnt use Robbie as a name in itself.

Robert is long used in Scotland.

I'm not keen on Robert strangely as Robbie is my favourite!

Warming to Lewis and not adverse to Ross. Also slowly warming to Luke or maybe Lucas

But if your husband wont accept Robbie you could name him Robert and call him Robbie dont tell dh.

Robbie isnt really a name in its own right, its a nn and a child may prefer Robert on the passport.

Robbie or Robert he'll just get Rob anyway.

Ross is nice.

Russell?
