Names that mean 'light'

Ohmyamy · 09/11/2017 18:20

Because I am the most extra person in the whole world, I want all of my babies names to mean something and then have a common theme as well, so we have an Everly Aurora (northern lights), Orion (star light) Arthur and Aurelia (northern lights again) Rowan. Sooo I need a name that has a light connotation, that also goes with the middle name October :)

I haven't found any that I like! I really need help! It is for a boy but im okay with gender neutral names :) thanks so much!

Fotis/Photis literally means light in Greek and is a common name.

If you're really brave you can go with Haralambis (shining joy).

Thea is the Greek Goddess of light

HaHaHmm · 14/11/2017 09:35

Theia (sometimes anglicised to Thea) was a Titaness rather than a goddess, and the mother of the sun, the moon and the dawn (Helios, Selene and Eos). Very much a girls' name, though.
