Hi all,

after obsessing over many many names I think we've settled for Elliot, which didn't seem very popular - ie didn't go to school with any and didn't know of any or any well enough to tar the name with someone else.

However these past couple of weeks I have heard of a couple of children born called it (unsure if a fluke or what?!)

Do you know any Elliot's? if so what ages?

Thanks in advance

I know a few.

2 of them are 4/5 reception age. One is spelled Elliott though.
Another couple I know are about 7.
I know a two year old and three babies as well.

I know a few

1 is 15

Then I know 3 under 3

It's definitely not the most popular name in our area though. I know as many Woody's as I know Elliot's strangely

Loads in DDs grade one year. One is an utter little bugger as well! Hits DD’s disabled friend. So I could never use the name.

Ethan or Edwin?

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 07/11/2017 15:33

I know one baby and one toddler.

RaspberryBeret34 · 07/11/2017 15:33

I know one who is about 7 I think.

PandaCat · 07/11/2017 15:45

I knew one when I was at school. I don't know of any now

AccrualIntentions · 07/11/2017 15:45

MarmiteAndPB · 07/11/2017 15:50

GoingRogue · 07/11/2017 15:51

TheFairyCaravan · 07/11/2017 15:52

I know 2 in their early 20s and a 7yo

fifipop185 · 07/11/2017 15:52

I know one who is 11 and gets called Ells by his school mates. Have heard of a few others around who are 2-3.

Brighteyes27 · 07/11/2017 15:54

I know of one who is about 14 he is not a pleasant child.

HettyB · 07/11/2017 16:18

There are two in my DD’s nursery group (age 2). But I don’t know any others outside nursery.
I love the name - we considered it for DS.

Freetodowhatiwant · 07/11/2017 16:21

I have one (almost 3) and there is one other in the school. Both spelt Elliot with one t. I feel that the double t is a bit too surnamey but a lot of people seem to spell it like that before I tell them it’s only one t. I love the name and have always had good responses from it. He’s a lovely little boy though of course 😀

I'm a secondary teacher and currently teach 6 across various year groups. So not common but not completely rare!

Chottie · 07/11/2017 18:24

None.

Flower20166 · 07/11/2017 21:04

I know 2. One of them is a girl...why oh why!!!

Flower20166 · 07/11/2017 21:05

Oh and the girls name is spelt Elliotte. Because the ‘e’ on the end make sure it oh so feminine [hmmm]

Flower20166 · 07/11/2017 21:06

Hmm. You can fell I haven’t used smilieys on here before now lol

MikeUniformMike · 07/11/2017 21:46

I know several. Different ages. Quite popular. Ellie?

Discusting · 07/11/2017 21:51

Secondary teacher- taught 2 in 10 years. My DS is a 1 year old Elliot. Not come across any others at baby groups and classes yet.

Alisvolatpropiis · 07/11/2017 22:38

I don’t know any little Elliot’s but do know about 5 who were all born 1987-1992. Perhaps there was a localised spike in popularity where I live around then.

Ionarocks · 08/11/2017 06:42

I know 2 baby Elliots and taught a few at the last (high) school I taught at. Seems pretty popular across the ages.

FixItUpChappie · 08/11/2017 06:46

Our son and it seems to be gaining in popularity!
