Do you like it? How many do you know? What sort of a girl do you think of?

It's ok, a bit cutesy for me but not terrible.

PhatSlag · 11/10/2017 17:12

Cows name.
I know a Daisy, she’s the most stocky, tom boy-ish child you ever saw. Her name does not suit her at all.

Chickenagain · 11/10/2017 17:22

Wish I was called Daisy! It’s a lovely name and I do know a very successful Daisy with a great job - it hasn’t held her back.

AnyaMoondial · 11/10/2017 17:29

I absolutely love Daisy! I think it is really fun, feisty and cheerful - perfect! I don't know any Daisys sadly. It would make me happy if I met one :)

AmysTiara · 11/10/2017 17:32

I'm not a fan. It sounds a bit twee. I'm not fussed on Maisie either so I obviously don't like the aisy sound.

Smoliver · 11/10/2017 18:13

I know one Daisy from my school years - she was highly intelligent and friendly with everyone.

It gets a thumbs up me Smile

Mulch · 11/10/2017 18:16

I just think it's a name for a cow

FfionFlorist · 11/10/2017 19:11

I have a dd with Daisy as a middle name. She was born on Michaelmas day which is why we chose the name

KERALA1 · 11/10/2017 20:31

Awful. Fine for a flower or a toddler doesn't work for adults

blisterinthesun · 11/10/2017 21:41

I know two. One young, one middle age. It’s awful. Just about passable for a child (maybe), but for a grown woman it’s ridiculous.

SuperBeagle · 11/10/2017 21:46

Love Daisy.

But I know countless dogs called Daisy, and when I mentioned it to people as a potential for DD2, that was what people mentioned. It's not very popular where I live though (in the 80s in popularity), so I suppose people are less likely to know a person named Daisy, so only have dog associations.

Malaco · 11/10/2017 21:53

I really like it. I know a Daisy and a Maisie who both have three syllable names ending in ..ton. Cool names.

rhodes2015 · 11/10/2017 21:55

I love it!
I follow a vlogger on YouTube/instagram who has an adorable little 1 year old called Daisy. So it makes me think of her DD.

Stokey · 11/10/2017 22:01

I like it and considered it but didn't use it as I know lots.

About 4 or 5 in their 30s, and another 5 or 6 little ones - ranging from 2-10.

RaindropsAndSparkles · 11/10/2017 22:09

I'd have called dd Daisy but DH didn't like it. So she's one of the aforementioned alternative names. Other names on our list:

Poppy
Clarabel
Isabel
Annabel
Imogen

She was Alice.

I fell in love with the name Daisy after seeing an interview with Daisy Waugh who I thought was awesome.

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2017 22:16

I had a rescue dog called Daisy so that colours my view of the name.

I find it too cutesy on a person, in the same vein as Maisie & Poppy. Not my sort of names at all.

PandaCat · 11/10/2017 22:57

I love Daisy, as a name and also the little flowers. My favourite. Unfortunately I had a Guinea pig of the name so could never picture any of my kids as it now.

Saying that, I can't really picture an adult Daisy. A child to mid teens, and an old lady but for some reason not anywhere in between haha!

villainousbroodmare · 11/10/2017 23:01

Too silly-cutesy for me.

Carouselfish · 11/10/2017 23:36

It's a name I really want to like. But. Second all the child rather than adult posts.
My DD is obsessed with Daisy Duck though so I'm sure she'd name my next one that if she could.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/10/2017 23:47

I love it.

The Daisy's I know are late teens studying at unis and want to be lawyers etc.

Very strong name for sassy women imo

KERALA1 · 12/10/2017 06:25

Strong name? Do you really think so? Surely the direct opposite of a strong name

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/10/2017 06:30

Yes I do, or I wouldn't have said so.

lizzieoak · 12/10/2017 06:32

I love it. Not everyone wants to grow up to be a captain of bloody industry, so not all girls need "strong" names.

Waspyhell · 12/10/2017 06:36

It's lovely and has been around forever! My great grandma was a Daisy! Def not a "toddler name".

AJPTaylor · 12/10/2017 06:37

the only daisy i know changed her name at 13.
