If i was aiming for the pronounciation Ah - lee - sha , how should i spell it? Just considering this name, not 100% certain.

Alicia where I live is pronounced Aleesha, but I think most in the UK pronounce it Aliss-ee-ah. I'm not in the UK.

I'd spell it Alicia and just insist on the pronunciation you want.

Chaffinch4 · 08/10/2017 21:44

I think you'd end up doing a lot for correcting pronunciation if you spelt it Alicia and pronounced it alee-sha. Alicia would more commonly be aliss-eee-ah, I think.

Chaffinch4 · 08/10/2017 21:45

A lot OF correcting, that should say.

Sophronia · 08/10/2017 22:38

Alicia

guiltynetter · 08/10/2017 22:47

Alisha if you want it pronounced how you said. Alicia is a-liss-ee-a.

Marie541 · 08/10/2017 23:47

Its my name, and mine is spelt Alisha. Good choice! :)

ChocolateCrunch · 09/10/2017 08:05

Alisha if you want it pronounced that way.

Glumglowworm · 09/10/2017 08:48

Alisha to ensure the pronunciation you want

PointlessUsername · 09/10/2017 08:53

I read Alisha the pronouciation that you like.

Alicia- i read A-lee-c-a

xhannahx · 09/10/2017 09:17

Alicia - ah lee cee a
Alesha - ah Lee Sha

Imo

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/10/2017 09:37

Alisha, no confusion there.

StinkPickle · 09/10/2017 09:54

Alisha.

To my ear, Alicia is pronounced "A-liss-ee-ah"

BillBrysonsBeard · 09/10/2017 10:30

I pronounce Alicia as Al-ee-sha as does everyone I know but I would spell it Alisha to avoid correcting.

UsernameInvalid66 · 09/10/2017 16:22

I'd spell it Alisha for that pronunciation.

zeebeedee · 09/10/2017 21:34

I know an Alicia and an Aletia, which are both pronounced Aleesha.
