Any name can be a dogs name. My cat is called Rosie, doesn't mean Rosie isn't a nice name for a child either.

People are very snobby..go with whichever you prefer. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what other people think.

I know dogs names Ella and Freya.

Georgia is nice!
Also Georgiana and Georgina are lovely too.

"Her name was Lola, she was a show girl"

Can't hear the name without singing the first line of Copacabana in my head, so on those grounds alone my vote goes to Georgia

However, if you do really really like Lola, how about calling her Louisa but with Lola as a NN?

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 09/10/2017 15:01

Oh I love Louisa with nn Lola! Lovely idea.

I prefer Lola to Georgia, (which gets pronounced JawJaw where I live - it's love in some accents eg Irish, Scottish). But there are some bad connotations with Lola; the kinks, manilow and nabakov made sure of that! Louisa is the perfect solution imho.

Georgia (nn Georgie) is lovely;
Lola is a stripper or a transvestite.
