We are going to use Rae as a middle name (after someone) but i'm really struggling to find girl names we like that flows with it. We would like something pretty and uncommon but not unheard. Can anyone give any suggestions?Halo

Mae is a bit faddy and twee - fair enough if you are using it after someone - but on that basis I'd go for something classic in front. For example Millicent shortened to Millie Rae.

I know a Layla Rae which I think works well

Stillwishihadabs · 27/09/2017 18:01

I think it has to be an ie/y name;
Georgie
Millie
Daisy

I think it really shouldn’t be a name ending in ‘ie’ sound. Adding the Rae in makes it sound like the cutesy Millie-mae type names that are frankly naff as fuck.

Maybe something like Lorna Rae, charlotte Rae, Clarissa Rae...a nice classic first name

FABrick · 27/09/2017 18:06

Soleil :) (I'm actually serious!)

jasmineteayum · 27/09/2017 18:13

I think a name not ending in ie/ y would be better as i don't want it to sound too cutesy, but also looking for something a bit less popular than Charlotte?
