I've thought of a dozen straight off - probably more if I think some more - there are multiple in each of my DS's years at school.

YorkieButtons · 23/09/2017 08:08

My ds! He's nearly 15 :)

I know 3 others, all younger.

My ds likes to be called Ollie mostly, only teachers and grandparents tend to call him Oliver, I use both.

Dp has never called him Ollie.

dramallamakarma · 23/09/2017 08:08

None. I work in a large organisation, went to a huge secondary & haven't come across any.... yet. DC1 doesn't have any friends/classmates called Oliver either.

We're North East so maybe not as popular up here? I adore the name & it was top of the list for DC2 but probably won't use it because of its apparent popularity (we also have a common surname).

Ankleswingers · 23/09/2017 08:09

Just one!

A lovely name. Popular for that exact reason!!

CiderwithBuda · 23/09/2017 08:10

Three I think. Two age 16 and one 13.

ChocolateCrunch · 23/09/2017 09:32

Quite a few! From babies to 30s.

Smoliver · 23/09/2017 11:10

I don't know any, but my last name is Oliver. Does that count?

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/09/2017 11:15

2 in their 30s
4 under 2s

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 23/09/2017 11:21

There are 4 just in DDs class. They are all known by their first and last names.

In total I think I know about 3bn.

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 23/09/2017 11:36

I only know two young Olivers. But that's balanced out by my personally having met every single Sophie who's been born in the past decade.

ALittleMop · 23/09/2017 11:42

one in 70s
one in 40s
one early 30s
son 13, none other in his year group at school but one other pal same age
2 aged 10 in younger kids' class
1 aged 7
no babies

We are up North. Where all the Jacks and Thomas s are (6 in DDs class at school)

SwishswishBiTCH · 23/09/2017 13:41

DS1 is Oliver, we changed it up and put it as Oliver-James as we know how popular it is.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 23/09/2017 13:41

Two young children (about 3yo). One adult (my amazing former hairdresser). I think that's it. I hear it quite a lot at parks and doctors waiting room etc, but nowhere near as much as I hear Noah.

pipilangstrumpf · 23/09/2017 21:19

Lots and lots!!

Wasn’t it THE top boys name for years?!

LostwithSawyer · 23/09/2017 22:17

Only 1 in the whole school.

DuggeeHugs · 23/09/2017 22:31

Three: 7yo, 4yo, 1yo

holdthewine · 23/09/2017 23:32

My adult DS (nearly 40) is one. Then I know maybe 10 in their 30s, 10 in their 20s, a few teenagers (I'm a bit out of touch with this age group though so more know of them) and a three year old and a newborn.

Phoebe001 · 01/10/2017 21:38

1Smile

BearPear · 01/10/2017 21:50

My DS! There was one other in his year group in secondary school, no other in primary. He's 25 and adorable Smile

flowerygirl · 01/10/2017 23:28

I know 3 adults with the name
3 babies as children of my Facebook friends
3 in my daughter's class

kaytee87 · 02/10/2017 08:08

1 and he's 31. I'm in Scotland if it makes any difference.

Quartz2208 · 02/10/2017 08:10

Loads, 3 in each of dc years, another couple who went to different schools. That's just two years of school. Dh boss is an Oliver there are a couple at my work

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 02/10/2017 08:14

A huge amount ranging from 6 months to 16 years.

Judging by all of the young Oliver’s I’ve met while my own DCs have been at school/groups etc., I’d say it’s by far the most popular boys name in our area.

Which, to me, is odd because I can’t stand the name Blush (see also Olivia).

NutellaDoughnut · 02/10/2017 08:18

My ds goes to nursery with two Olivers. One is known by his full name and the other by a nickname that sounds nothing like Oliver.

Before he started preschool this month I didn't know any.

LineysRun · 02/10/2017 08:23

Enough that we have to specify which one we're talking about.

Also most abbreviate to Ollie themselves by choice when at school, I've noticed.
