I think Wilfred is beyond awful it really is. Your other names are nice though

fizzytonicplease · 14/09/2017 17:28

I love Thea for a girl and Dexter for a boy

BenLui · 14/09/2017 17:32

Phoebe and Max

Don't use Zara, the alliteration will be a pain (although it's a lovely name)

Loyly · 14/09/2017 17:33

Gabrielle or Oscar.

ShiveryTimbers · 14/09/2017 17:42

I like Gabrielle, Saskia or Edie for a girl.

Max or Oscar go best with your other names, I think, looking at the boy names. But I wonder about something else that's unusual but more classic - Conrad? David? Raphael? Theo?

MammieBear · 14/09/2017 17:47

Felix for a boy and Clara for a girl they came to me instantly when reading sibling names, others:
Arlo
Ada
Luca
Lola
Emily

bridgetreilly · 14/09/2017 18:08

In order, I like:
Matilda
Thea
Phoebe
Edie
Lucy
Saskia
Jessa
Alexandra
Pippa
Gabrielle
Zara
Lila

Oscar
Charlie
Wilfred
Max
Dexter

Saskia and Max. 😄

Liadain · 14/09/2017 19:25

Girls:
Saskia - fine.
Phoebe - also fine, better than Saskia
Edie - not for me
Zara - I love this one
Lila - I suppose you could run into problems with the Lye-lah vs Leela pronunciations. But I do like Lila.
Alexandra - it's ok. Not amazing
Pippa - blah. No
Matilda - nothing wrong with it but personally I've only ever taught cheeky ones, and it's soured me on it.
Jessa - I kind of like this. Jessamyn is similar too.
Gabrielle - I like this one
Thea - nope.
Lucy - ok but a bit bland imo

Boys
Max - fine. Again, bit bland imo
Charlie - nope. Too many of these imo!
Oscar - it's ok
Wilfred - awful
Dexter - very American and also reminds me of the serial killer on TV. I kind of like it, though.

Favourites are probably Zara, Lila, Oscar and Dexter

I love Matilda, Saskia, Phoebe, Lucy and Thea. Alexandra I don't love, but it's a fantastic name, strong and classy. Not keen on the others, although I like Philippa.

I'm afraid your boys' names don't do it for me at all. Oscar is the best of a bad bunch. How about Jacob, Emil (was just saying on the 'names from children's literature' thread that I love that name), David (you don't get many little Davids around these days), Isaac or Milo?

HeteronormativeHaybales · 14/09/2017 21:06

Oh, Conrad (as per a PP) is exactly the right vibe IMO. :)

HeteronormativeHaybales · 14/09/2017 21:13

More girls' suggestions - I think you'd be better off with two syllables - Nina, Mary, Aphra, Sara(h) - due a comeback surely - Clara, Laura

CakeRattleandRoll · 15/09/2017 07:31

Saskia and Oscar are my favourites. I also like Zara, but not with Zoe.

tellmyfriendsiminlove · 17/09/2017 02:59

Alexandria and Max

SerfTerf · 17/09/2017 03:28

Edie and Max.

Alexandra nn Alex is beautiful and such strong name. One of the most timeless names I know that can grow with a person and suits any personality! Also like Phoebe, Zara, Lila and Pippa (nn for Philippa). Great taste in names!
