Not Victoria. What do you think?

Very Italian.

howrudeforme · 12/09/2017 23:22

Italian. It's nice.

manicinsomniac · 12/09/2017 23:23

I know a couple of Brazilian girls with this name. One is spelled Vitoria and the other one Victoria but both said as Vittoria. Not sure if any of those versions are right or wrong though.

I like it. But think it might need the South American accent to make it work.

DramaAlpaca · 12/09/2017 23:24

It's the Italian version of Victoria, isn't it?

It's a nice enough name, but the problem is it will constantly get mistaken for Victoria which could be really annoying for you & for her.

On the plus side, you could have Vita as a nickname, which is lovely.

Liadain · 12/09/2017 23:27

I really like it. I think I'd be more likely to say it correctly (ie not Victoria) if it was the Vitoria spelling. I feel that my eye would auto correct Vittoria more easily.

DiegoMadonna · 12/09/2017 23:38

It sounds weird to me with the English R.

ChocolateCrunch · 13/09/2017 07:27

I like it, much more than Victoria.

Bubblesoup · 13/09/2017 07:32

I'm not so keen. Sorry. I don't know why. Maybe because i love Victoria.

MammieBear · 13/09/2017 07:40

People will want to say Victoria don't know if that bothers you, if not go with Vittoria. I think Victoria looks better written down.

beingsunny · 13/09/2017 08:39

As in the mineral water?

LinoleumBlownapart · 13/09/2017 13:07

I sort of like it, but I see it as the same name as Victoria which I've never really liked . We live in South America, there is at least one Vitoria or Victoria in every year of my children's school,. Most are known as Vi, which is a nice nickname.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 13/09/2017 13:12

Unless you are actually in Italy, then you're setting her up for a lifetime of saying "that's ViTToria, not Victoria".

PhuntSox · 13/09/2017 13:44

Love Vita!

UterusUterusGhali · 13/09/2017 13:57

I work with one and she's great but is constantly correcting it, although she works with a constantly changing team who might not have met her iyswim.

Glumglowworm · 14/09/2017 13:42

I know one through work, she's not British but tbh not sure where she's from (I only ever have 30 second phone conversations with her, never met her face to face).

I quite like it but I agree you and she will be in for a lifetime of correcting people
