I will be pronouncing it 'Thee-uh' not 'thay-uh' I don't like the latter. What do you think? :)

Love it

CaptWentworth · 12/09/2017 18:45

It was on my list, but with Dorothea on birth certificate/official things. Lovely.

SweetChickadee · 12/09/2017 18:46

v pretty

caoraich · 12/09/2017 18:47

Lovely. Growing up I knew a Thea pronounced the first way. She's 25 and it was unusual at school but not thought of as weird. She was also lovely too!

Beautiful

dragonwarrior · 12/09/2017 18:49

I'm going to say no.... but only because a friend is using it and doesn't want it to be overly popular! You could possibly be my friend 🤔🤔

LovelyBranches · 12/09/2017 18:49

Biased, but I think it's absolutely beautiful.

Pooshweens · 12/09/2017 18:54

Lovely and quite original

Chaffinch4 · 12/09/2017 19:19

It was number 58 on the ONS list of girls names in 2015 so pretty popular already dragonwarrier. But with good reason - it's a lovely name. I'm ever so slightly put off by the possibility of people pronouncing it "fear"...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/09/2017 19:21

Why Thea uh and not Thea ah?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/09/2017 19:22

**Thee ah

BewareOfDragons · 12/09/2017 19:26

EllaHen · 12/09/2017 19:29

It's beautiful. They sound very different to me. Lovely name,go for it Smile

villainousbroodmare · 12/09/2017 20:27

Love it.

caffelatte100 · 12/09/2017 20:43

Think most people would pronounce Thea with a hard t (so tear, said in the way to rhyme with fear). It seems a sad name to me!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/09/2017 20:44

I don't think so.

StarkintheSouth · 12/09/2017 20:46

Love it. Was a serious contender for My DD!

IndianaMoleWoman · 12/09/2017 20:50

Love it! Would've used it but sounds rubbish in our accent (Thee-yurr)

Chaffinch4 · 12/09/2017 20:52

No caffelatte, it's a pretty well established name with the soft "th" sound, much like Theo. I can't think many people would say Tear instead.

caffelatte100 · 12/09/2017 21:02

Ok I don't live in the UK and did not know it was popular in the UK. but in scandinavia and other areas it is with a harder t sound at the start!

lornathewizzard · 12/09/2017 21:58

There was a baby Thea at our Jo Jingles class this morning. Lovely I think
