Opinions on Polly? Similar names ?

I really love the name Polly just want to see what you think? Also any name suggestions would be appreciated x

Molly or Dolly?

I really like Polly, I have only ever met one and she was beautiful and cool and not cutesy at all.

I had forgotten about this name so have added it to my list.

My cousin called her youngest child Polly. Hated the name to start with, as did my nan who thought my cousin was nuts. Now I think the name is great.

Pauline?! Surely the world's not ready for a revival of that yet? I really like Polly. I imagine a quirky bright individual of any age. Lovely....but then my daughter is Nancy which has a similar feel.

The Polly I know says she loves being called it. I think it's a great name.

My 3.5 year old DD is Polly. It is very rare we come across another one considering how popular similar names are. There are a few Polly's who appear on TV (real and fictional!) and they mostly seem to be Doctors .
She never gets parrot/dolly jokes although yet to start school so we will see...

Love it. Think it's actually(rather strangely) a nickname for Mary, so you could always call her that on the birth certificate.

I like it. Its a bit quirkier than Molly, Millie etc.

I love this name. I know a 30 year old Polly who is lovely, and really suits her name. never even thought about parrot or kettle jokes!

I love the name Polly, one of my favourite girls names.

I love it. Don't think DP likes it though so unlikely to ever use it. I know one with a sister called Winnie (not short for anything, just Winnie) which I also like.

I think it's lovely

I like it, it's my DD's middle name and I never thought of the parrot thing. In my case it's after PJ Harvey, so there's a good example of an adult polly.
