My final shortlist - would you choose A, B or C?

A) Raphaela Rosa
B) Raphaela Sienna
C) Raphaela Winter

Too many syllables in sienna and winter sounds like a surname (love it as a first name but not after another name)

Of your choices, C sounds best. But for A, I think Raphaella Rose would sound much better.

Round, I see what you and other posters mean about Sienna and the number of syllables. There's 7 before you get to the surname. Definitely food for thought ...

The Rosa connection is lovely and will be nice to talk about when she's older

Raphaela can be shortened to Rae (Ray) X

Any of them, depending on which goes best with the surname. I think I have a slight preference for A.

Sienna is way too popular these days, you will spoil the beautiful first name, don't do it, it's a trend not a keeper

Round, I like the idea of talking to her about Rosa Parks when she's older as well. It's a nice connection - my middle name is the same as my Dad's mother and he didn't even get on with her!

That's an interesting point, Twokids - I've always liked the name Sienna but it is very popular at the moment. Will be interesting to see the ONS stats for it on 20 September ...

Love the sound of C, but the reasoning for A.

I think A too. Sienna doesn't go with Raphaela and also is just a horribly tacky name imo

If your girl is due in winter, that would be a lovely middle name but not if she's due in august, iyswim?

Brutus, she's due in September. I also love the name Autumn, but it doesn't really go.
