Which name do you prefer with Margot and Hamish?

Margot, Hamish and Archie
Or
Margot, Hamish and George

I think Archer and Arthur go nicely too, but Archie/Archibald has a nice Scottish feel that works well with Hamish. (Angus is great but not with Hamish).

Think Archie is more in keeping with your other names.

I usually don't like Archie, but one of the loveliest families of my childhood had an Archie and Hamish, so that combo gets my vote.

DramaAlpaca · 19/08/2017 17:33

George goes best.

Archie is more cutesy & nicknamey than your other names.

MudCity · 19/08/2017 17:34

George goes best with the other two. No doubt about it!

Thanks everyone! I agree with alot of the opinions here in that I slightly prefer George but still like Archie - and Archie has a Scottish family connection for us (plus DH prefers it). Feedback is tied at 50/50 and I still can't decide!
As for the other suggestions, baby will have a close cousin Arthur so that would be weird. I love Angus but think it's too much with Hamish. DH quite likes Archer and so do I, it's possible we could use it as a formal version of Archie, but still doesn't quite swing it between the two names.
Thanks for all the feedback!

Archie, but they do have sort of heiland coo ring, all together.

MrsPringles · 19/08/2017 18:01

I vote for Archie I have a 3yr old one so I'm biased Grin

JinCa · 19/08/2017 18:11

I know what you mean Midsomer. It didn't occur to us that Margot was at ALL Scottish sounding when we named her, but other people tell me it sounds very Scottish with Hamish?! So now we seem to have a 'theme'. Hmm.
I know neither Archie or George are particularly imaginative - but I think because the other two are unusual we're in the mood for something more simple this time round. (I also like Jack right now, for example, but know too many of them plus too similar at root to Hamish).
